Getting strikeouts in this game really relies on the variable umps like the above poster said. What's special is that while the strikezone does change throughout the game, the umpire has a set area. When you throw a ball that gets called for a strike, try it again. When you start the game, the first thing you should try to do is "feel out" the umpire's strike zone. Later, when the AI sees you taking advantage to balls being called strikes, they'll try and swing at what might be called a strike (and miss). It's important to find the umpire's strike zone before you try and get a lot of strikeouts.
