For me, this has absolutely nothing to do with the Cowboys. It has to do with the league's continuing efforts to tilt the playing field in favor of the offenses.

Look at the vid I posted earlier. If the new rule was in effect on that play, Williams has to choose between taking a 15 yd penalty, or taking a chance on diving at Owens legs. If he misses, Owens is gone (you can see several Dallas defenders closing in towards the end of the play, but their chances of cutting Owens off are questionable at best).

When is the league going to decide that offenses have enough of an advantage?
