One other thing-you don't actually believe that those four plays were the only times RW used that technique, do you? What about all the times he tackled that way and didn't injure anyone?
So if it doesn't apply to the majority of his plays, why the outrage from Cowboys fans? I really don't think this rule will have a huge effect on play next year other than preventing a few completely unnecessary injuries, in which case it will be a success.

Damn, our owner hurts us again.

That's like saying a rapist should be let go because out of the 10 attempts of rape, he missed out on 4 of those times.

Like that rapist, the technique needs to be eliminated.

This is why Cowboy fans have such a bad rap on here. Someone says something negative about a player of theirs, they go on personal attacks.

For me, this has absolutely nothing to do with the Cowboys. It has to do with the league's continuing efforts to tilt the playing field in favor of the offenses.

Look at the vid I posted earlier. If the new rule was in effect on that play, Williams has to choose between taking a 15 yd penalty, or taking a chance on diving at Owens legs. If he misses, Owens is gone (you can see several Dallas defenders closing in towards the end of the play, but their chances of cutting Owens off are questionable at best).

When is the league going to decide that offenses have enough of an advantage?
