What are some of your favorite series? Which would you recommend? I just finished Gantz and was a little disappointed it ended the way it did. you have to read the manga to get the full story since the anime stops way to early.

Anime/Manga Discussion Thread
I know we have some anime fans on here(trob, cyros, candy, etc). Hopefully this will bring more out of the woodwork.

Re: Anime/Manga Discussion Thread
Anime:
Ronin Warriors
Black Cat
Gundam Seed
Flame of Recca
Tenjo Tenghe
Manga:
Black Cat (definate differences)
iD_eNTITY (about a bunch of kids playing an immersive MMO)
PhD: Phantasy Degree (same author as iD real fantasy aspect)
Lament of the Lamb (Drama series about a family with a vampiric like blood disease)
Flame of Recca (Much longer than the anime and more details)
Full Metal Panic (Take a militant youth, stick him in HS, and watch the hilarity ensue. Toss in a dash of Mech action for good taste.)
Manga and Anime I need to read/watch:
Shadow SKkill
RahXephon
Arm of Kannon
Witchblade (Those of you with Xbox Live can download the first episode for free)Last edited by Cyros; 02-13-2008, 11:22 PM.Comment

Re: Anime/Manga Discussion Thread
I also started reading Venom vs. Virus (I think that's the title at least) but it's edited and I am not a fan of editing manga. That's not just because I am a pervert, but also because when you edit anything some of the authors intent gets edited as well.PSN:BrrbisBrrComment

Re: Anime/Manga Discussion Thread
I check books-a-million every day and I can not find volume 2. When I bought volume 1 they had volume 2 but I didn't buy it because I had no idea if I would like it, big mistake.PSN:BrrbisBrrComment

Yeah, I've had RahXephon on my computer since last summer. Shows you just how lazy I am at watching anime. I also have Gundam Seed Destiny and Shaman King on my computer that I haven't watched.Comment

Re: Anime/Manga Discussion Thread
Like with all anime thats good you have those fillers eps, but it's good none the less.
anime wise I like, Flame of Recca, Yu Yu Hakusho, Initial D, Gundam 00, Desert Punk is funny, and a bunch of others but I never liked dubbed anime for some reason.
Bleach fillers are getting a little better, Shippuden needs to speed up!Last edited by NEW_ORLEANS; 02-14-2008, 09:38 AM.Comment

Re: Anime/Manga Discussion Thread
Where are the anime classics? Ninja Scroll and Vampire Hunter D (the 2nd one... but the first one is hot too) are at the top of the list. It's hard to unseat a classic but Afro Samauri may be my true favorite. Here's a clip.
Ghost in the Shell, Animatrix, Gologo 13 (Queen B but the old school ones are good too), Crying Freeman, Ninja Ressurection, X, Fist of the North Star. Heavy Metal 2000 was surprisingly good.
Others are Karas, Appleseed, Bleach, Naruto, Cowboy Bebob, Inuyasha.Comment
