Electronic Arts Inc., (NASDAQ: ERTS) today announced Jeff Gordon, legendary NASCAR® driver of car #24, will be featured as the cover athlete for EA SPORTS™ NASCAR 09. I never understood why Nascar games come out in the middle of the season. It would be like if Madden 09 came out in December.

And I agree with the release of Nascar games. I don't know why EA doesn't release the game in Feb. But oh well, June is better than the Sept/Oct release they used to have.

Im just glad they finally decided to put Carl Edwards in this years game.

Maybe Edwards will have a 'roid rage power-up, too. That would make the game realistic.

It wasn't that they did not want him in the game,but they could not put him in due to him having his own game(which i never heard of).
