Looks good, but to be nitpicky, the foot prints in the snow disappear after every play. Maybe they have that fixed. Didnt see too much of a difference in gameplay

Re: New game play video!
I still am unhappy with the way this game looks and feels in motion; it's been a problem in every next-gen EA football game for me. Put next to any other quality sports game, or any other quality video game for that matter, the animation is disjointed, robotic, and unnatural.
To be honest, and this is probably a gross overstatement, but I feel like next-gen Madden is an exponentially pretty version of a PSX/N64 iteration of Madden.
Not sure what can be done to address that at this point either; it seems to be the way the next-gen Madden engine runs.Comment

Wow! Not impressed, looks the same with robot running and slow animations! Snow still not up to par with APF. Sad!Comment

Re: Online Leagues
The one upside to the way they're doing it is the "flex schedule"...allowing people to play any of thier games at anytime when two opposing players are online. That's literally the only way you could finish a 16 game schedule with 32 players. But it is light on the options like rookie drafts, free agents and such.I'm extremely disappointed in everything they talked about. Mandatory 32 user leagues, no rookie draft from NCAA, no free agents...if they have the foresight to give us back the EA locker, there are ways around this but otherwise this news has got me rethinking a Madden purchase.
EA Locker is a huge thumbs up....that's the answer to all my online franchise hopes and wishes...the only problem is my season would die after like the 7th or 8th week with a stupid error while merdging the results...did you get that error as well?Comment

Re: Madden NFL 09: First Online Leagues Details and Video Clip
I just now saw this because GTA IV has been consuming me
Ok heres my take
Positives:
*Graphics/Models are great!
*Snow looks great as well(though yes I agree more shots outside of snow games would be nice)
*Game Speed is down from 08 and looks a lot better IMO
*Didn't see any of those over the top "stone shoulder" "wow" hits that plagued 08 far too much last year
*No Fumbles...lol
Negatives:
*Recycled animations
*Angles
*Stadium Atmosphere still felt not quite right
*Jury is still out on the Presentation...hopefully theres more to come..correction...A LOT More to Come
Overall:
I loved that it seemed more boring....the big hits last year were just way over done and looked silly. Of course they still could have done better with the animations and still made it seem more realistic
I hope the turnovers/bugs/glitches stay few and far in between this year.....My mind is still telling me to keep my guard up about this year...and make no mistake about it...I still have loads of issues with these games an EA....
But after watching that the Football Lover inside of me wants to be cautiously optimistic

Re: Madden NFL 09: First Online Leagues Details and Video Clip
The video wasn't very impressive imo, but its still very early. I don't know if it was the snow but the framerate didn't seem very good, as the animations looked jerkier than they do in Madden 08.Comment
