With all due respect, I don't believe online dynasties aren't broken. I just think the majority of people haven't gotten far enough into their dynasties to see the problems yet. In our dynasties we like to sim games and do recruiting for 4 seasons so when we start playing it is all guys that we recruited. Therefore, our dynasties progress alot faster than people that are playing from the first season on. I mean the game has been out less than a week. Everything ran smoothly for us until we reached the offseason in year 1. The last dynasty we tried had problems after week 10 though. I will PM you a daytime phone # for any ?'s that the engineers may have. I think it is naive to think that online dynasty is working successfully though at this time.

What you are talking about is the difference between SUBJECTIVE (What you think) and OBJECTIVE (What is fact).

It's a FACT that Online dynasties are broken. Scores are not the same from week to week. You may win by 30, but after you advance a week you will have lost your game by 7. That is a FACT.

The game to me, as is, is FUN. I don't give a crap about roster editing, or the fact that pass rush is broken etc. The game is still fun as is, I enjoy it a lot.

What I don't enjoy is something that is GLARINGLY wrong, like the scores in online dynasty, and people who can't even log into their dynasties.

Online dynasties need to be concern #1.

I know this is off topic, but would in be possible in future installments of this series to redo the way the depth charts are set up? Customizable depth charts I guess. For example Wr 1 is your x, Wr2 your z Wr's 3 & 4 are your slot receivers. If Wr 1 exits the game the rest of the receivers move up one spot. What if you wanted to designate let's say Wr5 as the backup to Wr1? Some receivers play inside(slot) only. Also it's pretty annoying when you have 8-10 receivers on your squad and the cpu starts subbing in db's!! I can't remember what year it was, but Madden had a feature where you could customize your subs by formation. What if you wanted to use your 99 speed corner in ceartin formations to carry the ball? Just a question and some ideas. sorry if this isn't the right forum for this.

I think EA has their priorities wrong. The roster patch is not "mission critical" to having the game play well. They should be worrying primarily about fixing the sliders, special teams, and D-Line pressure before worrying about Roster editing.

Well, this HAS been reported.. but there are things that can cause this. The way online dynasty was designed, you will NOT get incorrect scores. To me, this indicates files were not merged and uploaded correctly, causing the game to be simmed.

No.. reproducible crashes, corrupted files, online desynchs, and 3rd part standard violations are ALWAYS mission critical. It isn't an EA thing. It isn't even a video game thing. For any type of software, show stopper bugs are always critical, whereas tuning isn't.

Me and about 4 friends had started an online dynasty and things were going fine. Now none of us can load up and continue with the dynasty. When we try to load it just takes us to the main menu. Also we are unable to retire from the league so one, I'm unable to host another league. Can you suggest any solutions to this problem

Now that the roster patch is on it's way, do you think it's possible to consider the slider bug as somewhat critical now?

Cmon guys, we bitched about the roster issue, they fixed it within days. They are now QC'ing it and testing things for patch two. He wont give us a time frame because it will lead to the end of the world if things get changed up. He's said it a million times. If he says one day, and he's wrong or it gets delayed, he looks like a liar, i dont blame him for not saying much.

Adam, thanks, and please let us know when its left central control or whatever its called to go to MS and Sony

Has yet to happen once in the ones im in.. and one of them is started year 2 already

Well no... I don't go on defense. If there is a situation where I would have to do that, I won't post. It does no good. However, when someone says that gameplay tuning is more critical than crashes, I'm going to say that they aren't. They never have been and they never will be.

That has always been my primary goal here... to explain how things work and help educate our hardcore gamers on what is truly going on behind the scenes. All the years of lurking here I have seen that 9 out of 10 assumptions have been completely wrong. I gladly come here and correct them now that I'm allowed to.

The patch should be out of central tomorrow or Tuesday assuming nothing new is found. I will try and keep everyone here updated as I find out.
