Congrats to FSU junior safety Myron Rolle who has made it to the final round of consideration for the Rhodes Scholarship. That is an incredible achievement. Rolle, the Noles second-leading tackler, will have his interviews with the committee on Nov. 21 and 22 with the announcement coming on the 22nd at 5 pm. The Noles play Maryland on the 22nd as well, although the kick time hasn't been announced yet. Asked Sunday night if he'd have to miss that game which could have ACC title implications, Rolle said "probably," but added that if the game is slated for an 8 p.m. kickoff, "I may be able to make some of it."

This kid graduated college in 2.5 years and has been a leader on an off the field for Florida State. He is having an excellent season and is perhaps showing why he is a First Round pick in the making. This should be one of the biggest stories the next few weeks. -

Myron Rolle is a great story. I hope this gets a lot of run in the media. The kid is a true student-athlete. He has a bright future no matter what.

You know you have it made when your two options for the short-term future are:
A) entering the National Football League, or
B) entering Oxford University on scholarship for graduate school
Rolle is a shining example that more student-athletes should aspire to, IMO; he excels on the field, in the classroom, and I'd fathom to guess as a person as well.Comment

Seems like a smart kid but the best part is that he truly seems to put effort in his studies. Alot of players aren't the brightest, but they could work alot harder on academics and getting a better future beyond football.-Rocky Balboa"Maybe I can't win. It won't get much media time I fear. Not unless he beats the hell out of one of the interviewers and lets out a blood curdling howl while decorating his face in an offensive attempt at Native American war paint.
