So, how much longer can you guys milk 2k5?

This came came out 4 years ago, so how the much longer can you guys milk it? I mean you're doing a good job on the rosters and everything, but pretty soon the graphics are gonna look really outdated and it would be time to move on... but sadly the only game to move onto is Madden ( ..which I will never buy another Madden game ever )... ???

Personally I'm down until too many teams change theyre uniforms which in the next few years will be about 75% of them.....it's killing me as it is to play with the Cardinals but it is what it is...the gameplay is still great

Not sure what you're trying to imply here, but Madden IS an entirely new "engine" for the current gen systems. In fact, it's a pretty sharp looking game...at least when it's motionless (lots of little animation bugs and some goofy running as well). That was a big part of their problem in the transition to the newer systems a few years ago. They scrapped and started over, but underestimated the work involved. What's worse is that many feel the gameplay is stronger on the PS2/Xbox versions than the current platforms.

In any case, it's been a mess. That's for sure.

I will milk it until NFL 2Kx comes out. I need real football and Madden does not cut it.

They can go on forever, pretty much.

I would say, though, that I'm done with the game. After playing All-Pro 2k8, I have a hard time going back to 2k5 because it just lacks some of the great gameplay that 2k8 has... And some of the not-so-great things about football - like offsides and false starts. I have a hard time playing 2k5 because of it missing these little things, than in 2k8 really make it feel so much more authentic.

I really wish 2k8 had gone the fully customizable route, it would have been so much better.

Would be nice if there were ways to add to edit in the new uniforms, update the graphical detail etc., yeah i know will never happen but a guy can dream right?

The graphics for this game are fine for me. As long as they make the rosters people will play the game. If graphics were the only thing I cared about I would just play Madden because they do look better even though there are some problems with Madden's visuals.

I dont think I will stop playing this game. I mean yeah if there is something out there better I would be playing it , unfortunatly there is only Espn 2k5. Madden isnt even close . Why would I settle for less . Milking it ....ah whatever , anyone who has played this on high def knows they are lacking little . This game rocks . If you play this game with NFL settings and updated rosters , you would really never have to ask the question "How much longer can you guys milk 2k5"

I will continue playing 2k5 until some other company does a better job. I had high hopes for NFL HC09, but it turn out to be an incomplete game with no additional patch in site.

I will play this game until someone makes a football game that compares to it. As long as I have rosters Im good to go and can overlook the flickering yard lines and other small issues I have on my T.V.

I like the player models better in this game than in maddens, they look more realistic same with animations, but i wouldnt mind higher resolution textures for the players and the fields.
