i havent had this much fun with an nhl game in a long long time.

the game post patch is way better, period the end..

also, only reason people seem to be annoyed with your thoughts, is that you post the same thing over and over and over in multiple threads etc. we get it, we know how you feel. its just to bad you cant see the variety others see..

so move on already..

thanks
I don't really mean to call anyone a liar. I guess I am just frustrated with this game. And largely because it was great before the patch and now it is ruined for me. I know that I can delete the patch but I will be continually asked to update every time I boot up. And NHL 2010 will have the patched code in it.

As far as my posts are concerned, they are not about the exact same thing. Inevitably they turn into the same thing but that was not the piont. One of my posts was asking about a goalie ability slider and/or the shot blocking slider. That post turned into the "same thing". Same goes for my other posts. This one (which I didn't create) is suffering from the same fate. Now this one will be considered another posts where I am complaining. The bottom line is that I want this game to play well and realistically. I love NHL games and I am beyond frustrated. I check this forum every other day or so to see if any new developments have happened that might make me get back into it. As far as putting the game down or trading it in. Well, I don't trade games in, ever. And I have put it down. I've been playing Rock Band and Fallout 3 now. I have moved on but I hope something happens (like the title of this forum might suggest) that would allow me to enjoy the game.

I am envious that you are getting goal variety if you are but I simply am not. I am not great at this game but I know how to play hockey (I play in real life) and I watch every Blackhawks game on NHL Center Ice. I am pretty good at the game and know how goals should be scored. Again, I played about 10 consecutive games taking only shots from outside the slot and never scored one cleanly. That, to me is a problem. So again, if you are getting wrist shots that go in from the wing, slap shots that go in from the blue line (every once in a while, not all the time mind you) I would love to see a video of it to see how you do it. I remember a video of a guy saying that he scored a clean slap shot from the blue line that was non-deflected and non-screened and when I watched it there were 3-4 guys in front of the goalie. That's screened.

As for everyone that continually says, "how often do goals go in on an NHL goalie that are not deflected or screened"? Well, not often. But they to happen. I remember about 10 years ago Al MacInnis winding up for a slap shot at almost center ice against the Red Wings. It looked like he was just going to dump the puck but he fired a slap shot that had to have been 99mph+ and he beat Chris Osgood cleanly. That, will never, ever happen on NHL 09.

Brian Campbell scored a non-screened, non-deflected slap shot the other night against Edmonton. I can never have that happen on NHL 09. Its frustrating. With that being said I'm sure many of you guys will continue to flame me and that's fine. That's the nature of the beast for internet forums. But I hope that EA sees this and considers that the game is slightly more unrealistic in some people's opinion after the patch.
