More commitments for BYU
BYU Football News
BYU received two more signed letters of intent this week, bringing their in-season total to 5. Coach Borland and the Cougar coaching staff went to offense for this week's recruits, including his 1st true dual threat QB.
QB Clint Rodgers, a 3-star scrambler out of Franklin, Tennessee, shunned the home-state Volunteers in favor of Coach Borland's Cougars. It was a hard-fought battle between BYU and Tennessee for Rodgers services, and it is clear now that the Cougars peaked his interest.
Joining Rodgers is offensive tackle Jordan Gates, a 3-star lineman out of Parkway, California. Gates is a huge prospect that should help solidify BYU's offensive line.
Rodgers and Gates join RB Tim Brewer and DEs Leigh Wilson and Terrell Porter on BYU's in-season commit list.
BYU hits the road in search of win #10 next week at rival Wyoming.
