Seriously, judging from the video, there is no leap forward to last years. The new fielding, tagging, etcc animations are not going to be that much noticeable when playing the game. Judging from the video, the game is the same, batting and pitching animations are the same. Yeah. Optimistic? Not yet!
so..day to night lighting transitions, new fielding angles taken by cpu outfielders, new fielding animations for the infielders, eye black, sunglasses, being able to go the short way for the 3rd out, and new tag animations won't be noticeable when playing the game? Are you serious?

And a new blow your doors down, robust franchise mode, along with what I mentioned above equates to the same game as last year? Again, are you serious?

    All I can say is.....WOW!....

Your PS3 guys are extremely lucky. Honestly, I don't even want to play 2k9 after reading that blog and seeing that video. Simply amazing.

Oh no, just check a couple posts up, the game's basically the same, nothing really to see here:wink:. Seriously, I'm hoping for you 360 guys that 2K at least puts out a game worth playing this year, I thought they had some real good ideas in place last year, the overall product just fell flat.

Yeah, i didnt wait a year for this game just to get eye black and sunglasses as additions. What I'm saying is these are just add ons that should/could have been in 08.

Please explain what it is your looking for? Not being an a** just wondering exactly is missing that you were expecting.

The info we have so far hasn't scratched the surface. However, I don't get the intent of saying eye black/glasses "should have been in 08".

Innovation. But apparently, The Show isn't about innovating, its all about keeping the same old and adding little things that could have been added in the past. People say the swing stick will hurt the game because its "unrealistic." But this is a video game, games are never realistic no matter how much you try not to believe it. Just because you press X to hit, doesnt make it any more realistic than using the likes of the right analog stick to hit. Also, my major grip is the pitching. I'm fine if they leave the hitting the same as long as they provide a more innovative pitching meter. They used the same meter over about 4 years now. Its not overhauling the gameplay, its tweaking them with a new batting or pitching system.

The intent was that the info wasn't mindblowing and are not worthy of optimism.

The problem is when you think of swing stick, you think of 2k. 2K's swing stick was far from perfect. Forget about 2k because there are ways SCEA could fine tune it and make it fun to use. So just because 2K failed at it, doesnt mean the idea of the swing stick won't work.

We've had tens of dozens of pages about the swing stick, it's own thread(s). This thread is sort of on what was shown in the blog.

All you ever do is complain. It would be nice if you would just bypass buying the game if you feel it's not up to par and save us the trouble of reading your same gripes over and over again. Very few people agree with you.
                          It's only a video game.

You've done this before, no need to do this now. The only time you pop up in this forum is to complain and try and get people to debate back and forth with you. Thats it. You're not here to discuss the game, you're not here to provide input, and you're not here to offer up valid criticism to make the game better. Your lone objective is to bitch.

Please do us a favor and leave the thread. Its obvious you're not impressed with the game and probably never will be. I distinctly recall you saying at one point that maybe 2k is the game for you. Well, seeing as how you're never satisfied with anythign the Show does, I'd say you're right.

Thanks for stopping by, now don't let the door hit you in the *** on your way out.
