That's a good question. It's hard for me to pick a singular moment, but here are some moments...

1982, 1993, and 2005 College Basketball National Championship, all three were special and unique for me being a die hard Tar Heel Fan.

When Alonzo Mourning propelled the Charlotte Hornets to beat the Boston Celtics in the First round of the playoffs, forgot the year (early 90's I believe).

And who could forget the 1986 World Series. I remember going upstairs to my room heartbroken that the Mets were down to their final out down by two runs. And then the magic started happening, base hit here, wild pitch there, and then the grounded by Mookie Wilson that went between Bill Buckner's legs. Just an incredible range of emotions for me at that time of my life. If I were to pick a singular moment, that would probably be the one.
