    Chicago Cubs Roster Thread

**cc23klaid back again this year with my Chicago Cub edits!!!!

(I just got the game and I haven't even played a game yet...this game is just too much fun "editing-wise" that I can't get myself to start playing until all the players are SPOT-on!!!)

I haven't finished, but this is what I have so far...

If I don't mention anything, just keep it as it is default in the game

    {Every player should have the "old style" helmets...they discontinued the airflow helmets due to the fact too many cracked last year}

    Soriano

    ---above elbow BOTH sleeves
    ---eyeblack: YES
---stance: A. Jones (I wished they would have got to his stance)

    Ramirez

    ---glasses: style 8
    ---eye black: YES

    Dempster

    ---stance: Barfield

    Harden

    ---stance: M. Cochrane

    Zambrano

---stance: J. Wilson (better than my previous selection of Infante)

    Marmol

    ---above elbow BOTH sleeves

    Lilly

---pitching: DO NOT CHANGE his pitching motion from Gen 1 (his pitching motion is hidden)...don't even change it to "Lilly" (even though its in the options)...the "hidden" Lilly delivery is different and BETTER than the "Lilly" option in the pitching menu!
    ---stance: Bloomquist

    Theriot

    ---brown glove
    ---3/4 sleeves BOTH
    ---NO wristbands
---gloves in back pocket - LEFT

    R. Johnson

    ---NO sleeves

    K. Gregg

    ---black glove
    ---delivery: F. Cordero

    A. Heilman

    ---black glove
    ---delivery: C. Capuano

    Fontenot

---stance: (yes, he has a hidden stance, but where he holds his bat is TERRIBLE!) Alomar Jr.
    ---brown glove
    ---3/4 sleeves BOTH
    ---NO wristbands
---gloves in back pocket - RIGHT
    ---glasses: style 8

    C. Gaudin

    ---delivery: Generic 16

    Miles

    ---stance: T. Clark
    ---black glove
    ---3/4 sleeves BOTH
    ---NO wristbands

    Samardzija

    ---above elbow sleeves BOTH
    ---delivery: A. Miller

    S. Marshall

    ---delivery: B. Bonser
    ---stance: L. Gehrig

    Fukudome

---DON'T TOUCH his batting stance...it's "hidden" and it's SPOT ON!
    ---black glove

    Guzman

    ---Generic 15

    Taguchi

    ---black bat

    K. Hart

    ---black glove
    ---stance: R. Barajas

    J. Gathright

    ---3/4 BOTH sleeves
    ---left wristband WIDE
    ---wrist tape RIGHT

    Hoffpauir

    ---stance: T. Hunter

    K. Hill

    ---PINE bat
    ---above elbow BOTH sleeves
---left wristband WIDE (no right wristband)
    ---NO shin guard
---pants style: long (he changes from high-to-long occasionally)
    ---stance: K. Johjima

....I will be updating this first post as often as I can...

Theriot should have a brown glove.

Other than Soriano's skin tone being a little "lighter" than it should be I think he's pretty good - I don't see a need in changing his stance

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Really now? Soriano has little to no bat movement at all when he is at the plate, the guy in the game moves his bat non stop as if he were Gary Sheffield.

Wuertz isn't on the Cubs anymore.

Nice work though man. All of us Cub fans should try to make it as realistic as possible!

Yea he moves his bat WAAAAY too much. It drove me crazy last year, so I had to change it to the A. Jones stance. That is NOT perfect either though, but is better than that Cobra thing going on. It actually distracted my hitting since I got fixated on it, lol.

Are you going to be posting this through the roster vault feature?

If you can find a good replacement for Zambrano's pitching motion, I'd appreciate it. I think it's been off for the past couple years. In-game, he brings the leg up a little too much (or too quick?) and brings his head down towards that leg. In real life, you can see that he doesn't do any of that. I don't know, it just bugs me; but not enough to scroll through all the options. More power to you for doing so.

Does Dempster do his glove flip thing during his windup? I just picked up my pre-ordered copy last night and haven't even played yet. Last year he still had his closers' windup (Always in the stretch) and I had to change it. Nobody in the majors had anything close to the thing he does with his glove.

In reality- that little thing he does appears to work since he is coming off his best career year as a starter??

Man reading about this game off and on at work is driving me nuts. cough....cough....I feel a sick day coming on. Ha ha ha ha
"I could have played another year, but I would have been playing for the money, and baseball deserves better than that." George Brett

Too bad today's superstars don't feel this way about the game...

Yes, Dempster's delivery (with the cool exaggerated glove flip) is IN! ...you'll love the updated stances (Lee, Ramirez, Theriot, & Soto are re-vamped and spot-on this year!!)

..***ssell said Chris had Soriano's improved stance, but they never had time to put it in the game this year

...other than that, you will thoroughly enjoy '09!!!
