Currently snowing here. A mere 30 hours removed from tornadoes..and we get snow showers. Awesome.

Oh, okay. The I-85 corridor including Charlotte and my area looks to be the bulls eye right now, so you should be in the brunt of it.

We've got some light freezing rain falling right now and a nice glaze has covered a lot of things. Luckily, it's nothing much, though, so we don't have any power outages to deal with. We should transfer over to sleet later and heavy snow later in the afternoon into tonight.

Re: So what's the weather like where you live?

I lost power for a little over an hour from the freezing rain we had earlier (which has fortunately stopped now), but now my power is back up and running.

Take a loot at these whiteout conditions in Alabama:

            <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/LtZaviOhCCw&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/LtZaviOhCCw&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

I hope some of that comes my way!

Weather is cold here today, just like yesterday and the day before. Suppose to hit 55 by Thursday but of course the forecast is changing and its getting colder again. I really think people in the warmer climate areas have a better everyday lifestyle then me (Illinois)

It looks like we are in for a brief warmup in the east before more cold air pours in after the 10th and we perhaps get a last hurrah to winter. Or winter may just keep on going into April. We'll see.

At my apartment, we got about 5-6 inches of snow. In the bootheel of Missouri, they got upwards of 18+ inches locally.

Every single year they hype of snow, we don't get anything. Then, when they expect us to only get a few inches, we get almost half a foot of snow.

Yeah, we get blown forecasts all the time, too. They actually did pretty good for this past storm, though. They predicted 4-7 and we got 5-6 inches around my area (6" on the dot at my house).

Winter Storm Watches are up for northern Arkansas, Western Tennessee, and Northwestern Mississippi now, and Winter Weather Advisories are up for West-Central Mississippi and extreme Northeastern Louisiana now. An interesting setup is taking shape and could bring wintry precipitation to northern areas of the Southeast over then next couple days, including my area potentially Thursday night into Friday.

And another interesting potential is for next week. The Euro shows a cold-core upper level low which would deliver a good deal of snow to North Carolina, Virginia, and up towards DC and Philly in 5-6 days. It's something to watch, at least.

LOL, I like cold and wintry weather and I don't enjoy this sort of weather we've been having lately. I can't stand summer here. Obviously, I either need to move north or up in the mountains.
