I take these ratings very seriously (probably too seriously) and I wont just hand out 80s or 90s for the heck of it. Those areas are reserved for the upper echelon players. Currently, the league is filled with alot of average/nice players and about 12-15 great players. Unfortunately, many fans tend to overrate their own players and label them as great when they are just nice/average.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with evaluating a player and coming to the conclusion that he comes out as a 45. He is what he is. There are rare players in the league and they are employed by the teams that are good year in and year out.(Colts, Pats, Steelers)
