My wife is from there, born and raised, and she loved it too. The Texas housing and job markets are stellar and we have family close enough by to get time with our son, so it fits. San Antonio happened because it's close enough to Houston and my wife got an incredible job offer here, which allowed me to be able to work from home and be with my son (especially nice after being in the military and hardly ever seeing him for certain stretches). So it was a win-win-win...lol. We do plan on getting to Houston though when my wife can get transferred.
