Maybe it's just me but idc a hill of beans about the historical stat glitch. Anyways, the CPU roster control lineup glitch was supposedly fixed...but it's not. What's your take, Mr. Ramone?

The Roster Control is not working 100%. What you can do though is start a franchise, turn on roster control, then after spring training, then you set all the lineups. If you set the lineups in spring training or in the main menu (before franchise), they will not stick.

I believe he's using the term "contaminated" to solely describe the "stat glitch", nothing else.

If this is true, will someone confirm this. I don't care about the linup/stat glich as i can figure it out, but if these rosters will be also missing the elements neccecery for the fixes that were done, then it is truly "contaminated".

Tried it - didn't work. Playing as Atlanta, I simmed thru Spring Training and before my 1st game of the regular season I messed w/Philly's lineup and put the pitcher hitting 1st, Howard 2nd and so forth...When I started the game it went back to the CPU lineup logic thingy.

Exactly, The Chef is reading waay too much into his statement. Chef, that's why he put "contaminated" in quotes, lol.

I started a franchise today no problem, and it didn't freeze when I simmed. Granted, I did not play a game, but it's fine I tell ya. You just won't have correct historical stats with Knights or Ridins.

Lol, glad to hear it as I can come back in from the ledge I guess. I just kept seeing my 40 game franchise crashing on me, in my mind of course, so I had a little bit of a panic moment. In terms of the historical stats issue, I dont have it as I used the workaround posted with the very first roster Knight posted and everything has been fine since. Apologies, I just kept seeing the word contaminated and figured his roster was no longer compatible with the game due to some change on their end and if that was the case then I was nervous that its what was causing franchises to crash. Like I said, thanks for the clarification, not sure why Russell couldnt be more specific about things instead of being so vague about things but atleast things have been explained better by you guys here.

I just tried the to lead off and steal when auto baserunning is on and I was able to do so as the user. I tried to do so when the CPU had baserunners and nothing happened. Now I know Russell's list stated that L1 or L2 would not work if you or the CPU had baserunners on, however, the message on SportsConnect said it that it would not work if the CPU had baserunners but nothing about the user. That could have been just less detailed but for those of you that thought that you could no longer be able to steal when using auto baserunning, I just tried several times and it worked every time.

Edit: This also worked for dorismary, so either they meant to fix this and did not or it was misstated in the list of the actual fix.

Yes, there you go The Chef, and RudyJuly, Brunnoce and Doris Mary. You guys are still OK.

Here's something I'm wondering. Roster made from the last couple of updates will not have the stat glitch. But will it happen again? Will the new rosters start glitching with some future update?

So, this is what the second thing they "fixed" but actually didnt? They said they "fixed" this auto baserunning issue and its still working, thankfully, and they said they fixed the roster control issue and that wasnt fixed either. So at this point, what did they fix that we the users can actually see for ourselves and identify that it was indeed fixed?

To the person who asked about the 60 day DL:

I tried placing a guy on the 60 day DL and still no luck. He is still on the 40 man roster and cannot be removed. I was really hyped up about this. Oh well, maybe next year.

what are the chances of this being fixed in another patch?

Yes, but as per my previous thread and post, you also will have to use the two controller method for games that you actually play to set up the CPU lineups to stick. What you described only works for simmed games.

this is Knights rosters using the SCEA update from 3/7 or 3/8. I then used the workaround at the time to cure the historical stats glitch.

This is what I've been using and haven't had any issues with the lineups or whatnot. There are no real minor leaguers in this update, except for the Cards and a sprinkle of others.

So does your roster file have any kind of advantage over the stock 4/20 or 4/27 updates?

I understand your concern. No, I don't think so because 4/20 is fine after today's update. The historical stat glitch is gone in my opinion (I tested them extensively this morning) from the 4/20 and 4/27 update and Russell_SCEA confirmed this.

Really? Turn on Roster Control in the franchise set up role, then go to your franchise, sim or play through spring training. Then once you get to the regular season, go to the "CPU Roster Control" section and edit any/all lineups. They should stick. I just did it.

It wont work if you set it in the main menu outside franchise

well, no, otherwise the 4/20 rosters would have the stat glitch when the 4/27 update was released...

I haven't downloaded the patch yet and I'm using Knights OSFM v2 rosters. I don't care about the stats glitch since I'm only playing 1 season. Will his rosters still work if I download the patch? Again, I don't care about the stats glitch -- I just want a realistic game for a season.

What about the lineups? Will Knight's tweaked roster (OSFM v2) still fix the flawed CPU lineup error?
