I have only NOT gotten replays 1 time out of 12 or so games. This all may have been coincidence as well, but the one time I did not get my replays, this is what I did "wrong".
Any thoughts on that guys? Have you tried not pressing X in the aformentioned situations? Does it make a difference?Comment

Deleted all The Show related files on my HDD, downloaded the patch installed latest SCEA Rosters. My first ST game I had no problems with End of Game Highlights at all. This is with pressing X during cutscenes.
I have found (so far) if I don't press X at all during the end of the game stuff, it works, otherwise it does not. You may also want to avoid pressing x when a highlight appears in-game, but I am not sure about that one.

Re: MLB 09: The Show Patch Released 4/27/09 - Impressions and Discussion Here
Well I have finally come to the realization I am probably going to have to start my season and RTTS over.
Very disappointed, to say the least. Still I get more enjoyment out of this baseball game than I do any other sports game I have ever played.
Not to mention on Tuesday I have to lay several people off, so this is really small potatoes on my list of major league bummers.
When the replay glitch patch comes out, I'll start a new season. Just have to figure out which team. Or maybe I'l use a fantasy draft. In the meantime I'll just play NFL Head Coach.Comment

Re: MLB 09: The Show Patch Released 4/27/09 - Impressions and Discussion Here
While all the hype was building for the '09 version, I recall it being mentioned that there were many things they were working on for next year's game that were fairly substantial changes. (Things like the collision detection, possibly weather, etc.) I now wonder if all the work that began on the changes for next year's version is potentially causing the issues we're seeing in this year's? (E.G. more code that is able to be affected, and potentially in a bad way, by patches released for this year's version). It could be that code we are in no way seeing any direct effect of is getting "activated" by code put in for the patch and as a result leading to issues elsewhere. Like if there is code in place for a future feature that impacts the current features in the game, and when certains sequences occur this code is "activated" and then alters the way existing features work.Comment

Re: MLB 09: The Show Patch Released 4/27/09 - Impressions and Discussion Here
Ok....I need some clarifications before I begin a Franchise and want to be sure I don't make a mistake......I Download the patch from SportsConnect.... is this done automatic when I log into SC? Or is more required? After downloading / installing patch, can I then load Knights roster and begin a Franchise with no stats glitches etc? I have only used SC one time and have never used a patch so this is all new to me...any suggestions and info will be and is greatly appreciated. My goal is to play in Franchise with no stats glitch or roster hangups. Thanks for any help...

I deleted everything on my HDD as well. Re-installed The Show, downloaded that patch, then when I attempted to log in to SportsConnect, I immediately crashed to the XMB. Re-started the game, and haven't crashed since...yet.
I played a full exhibition game, with replays and flashbacks, but there were no end of game highlights. Weird.Believe None of What You Hear, and Half of What You See.Comment

Knight's rosters all have the stat glitch. Ridin is releasing his new roster set without the stat glitch later this week.
I personally cleared all MLB 09 files from my PS3. Installed the patch. Reinstalled the game. Loaded knights v2 rosters and everything works fine. replays included.Comment

Re: MLB 09: The Show Patch Released 4/27/09 - Impressions and Discussion Here
The patch will install automatically when you start the game while being online. From my understanding all rosters pre-patch are "infected" by the career stats glitch unfortunately.

You download the patch before going on SC.

Re: MLB 09: The Show Patch Released 4/27/09 - Impressions and Discussion Here
Shady,
To do this, do the following...
1) Turn on PS3 but do not go into the game, just go to your XMB screen.
2) Go to the "Game" heading, and you will see "Saved Data Utility" (These are your franchise, roster, settings, etc. saves) Delete all of them.
3) Now, still under "Game" heading, find "Game Data Utility". This is the BIG file that was installed onto your hard drive when you first fired up the game. Delete that as well.
Now you are at scratch, start up The Show, it will tell you there is an update available (The Patch). Download that and then it will download and install itself. Then it will begin to copy files to your HDD.

Re: MLB 09: The Show Patch Released 4/27/09 - Impressions and Discussion Here
Do you think I can fix this problem, or am I going to have to start over? I played 3 years in the majors and then got bored to be on that team so I simulated the next three years until I was a free agent. I didn't get an offer from a team I liked, so I waited out the offseason and tried out for the Dodgers. Anyway, I can simulate just fine and I can play a game, but then when the game ends and goes to the "Last Game Stats" loading screen, it freezes. I can still hear the game sound bites or music in the background, but the screen is frozen, the loading bar stops moving. I had the patch and it made my RTTS crash, but I uninstalled and it worked fine after that, I played and simulated a bunch of games. I don't know what's wrong with it. I really don't wanna delete it or start over since I had all my attributes maxed out and I was just starting to play for the team I wanted to play for. Any suggestions as to what I can do? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.Comment
