I've messed around with TB quite a bit and would not be happy to lose my creations (especially since I accidentally deleted the damn logos off my computer now:P), but the roster file is FAR more important.

Whatever the cost, get the right rosters on the disk, please

Worst case scenario, get what would have been the default rosters out there on the locker IMMEDIATELY and get a message on the ticker explaining the situation to people who might not know about the issue.

There's got to be more to this story than we'll ever know.

I believe someone obviously screwed up big time and we're either witnessing a P.R. spin or someone is in C.Y.A mode.

The more I think about it, I fail to believe EA would sacrifice accurate rosters for the sake of teambuilder. That makes no sense to me whatsoever.

And the vague answers we're getting along with the fact we have a dev saying they "dont know for sure which roster made the final build" does nothing to make me think otherwise.

It is not as easy to just "get rid of all the TeamBuilder teams" and that would fix the rosters. And frankly I do not want to rush into a choice we can't take back... hence we are going to take a bit of time and get the best solution possible for everyone, that seems fair (and the right thing to do) to me.

I appreciate you taking the time to update us on the status of the rosters and game.

That being said, it's UNBELIEVABLE that something so big slips through the cracks. Can you imagine if Madden 10 went gold with 85% of the rosters from Madden 09?

Stuff like this is the reason I vowed to played NCAA 10 before buying and I've bought everyone since the Bill Walsh days.

okay so i have been looking back through time and have noticed that the past NCAA's have all gone gold around June 16th - June 17th... so hopefully the game disc isnt final and them finding a fix to the solution.

Even though I don't like what I heard, I do appreciate the response for you all at EA.

Man I hope something can be fixed as soon as humanly possible. I can't understand how this can happen (especially after the roster bug last year) but at least you guys are admitting a problem.

Teambuilder had me excited and worried at the same time.

That's all that needs to be said.

It doesn't matter if people made 100,000 teams so far. If teams like Texas Tech only have 58 players, that is a much bigger issue. That's a lot of players to be missing from one team. The on-line crowd will be livid and so would the Dynasty fanatics because there's missing players (and they have to create a lot of new players from scratch). Which, quite honestly make up 75% of your customer base. That's who needs to be the priority here.

Don't worry about restarting Team Builder because your customers will still have over one month to create and tweak their teams. Plus, they will already know how the system works. Also, the website said "Beta" so it you could make a statement regarding rosters.

Thanks again for your upfront honesty and best of luck on a quick and complete solution to this problem.

I agree wholehardedly with the lot of you, get the correct rosters in the game, and sacrifice Teambuilder! Most will wait to play the game religiously until a quality edited roster set is available which is not usually til a month after release.

Well said my brother! Nip it in the bud and give guys plenty of time to re-create those schools. It's not like it would be a chore. Everyone loves to build teams.

Someone at EA should take note of the fact that not one single poster yet has chimed in and said: "Thank god they have decided they are not going to delete my create-a-school to fix this roster problem."

As someone who has already created five programs with Team Builder, I would sacrifice that time and effort for more accurate rosters on release. But accuracy is a relative term. Ratings become an issue for online play, but you can never appease everyone on each attribute for each player.

Better recall the game immediately.

For me, getting correct roster numbers and positions are crucial because they cannot always be edited. Move a defensive end to cornerback, and you'll get a defensive back with the biggest arms you've ever seen. And obviously, duplicate numbers have been an issue for many teams. My two cents plus some lint.

Scrapping TB is simple. Ask anyone who created a team if they'd rather have it or accurate rosters. go for it.

I'm just gonna sit back and watch this unfold...priceless stuff right here. Waiting for a few of the usual suspects to come in and sunshine our day.
