My only theory is it might be an AI v AI issue? I just don't know any other way. as little faith as I have in these devs is it really possible they botched the sliders...AGAIN?????

god seems like such a simple fix, just increase their effect, average guys dont need them or use them, no harm. all you do is increase the audience that plays your game..

Is it possible the gameplay department just took the year off? Sure seems that way.

I would easily take no development interaction at all over the inconsistent, unconcerning halfspeak we've received this year.

all i have to say is, if this were any other product, this would've been nipped in the bud along time ago. If there were any product that didnt function properly over and over, it'd be fixed pronto..but since it's "just a videogame", no one seems to care

If I were a developer on the NCAA team, I would be embarrassed to have my name attached to this piece of ****. Is it possible that any of the devs can actually man up and respond to these issues instead of dodging each thread that asks legit questions about the lack of improvements to key elements of gameplay???

Sorry I just don't see how user vs. ai will change anything. Even if you are able to get some pressure controlling a d-linemen that still leaves cpu d-linemen out to dry. The human player who doesn't control d-linemen and the cpu would be at a severe disadvantage if that were the case.

It wouldn't change the fact that the basic interaction is still flawed.

Yikes. This video didn't do much other than make me lose more faith that this game is going to be good.

I was really excited about this game a few weeks ago, but now I think I'm probably more excited for Madden (And I haven't bought Madden since 07 and haven't played it extensively since Madden 2004). I said originally that Madden and NCAA won't be all that different, but now I'm not so sure. Madden looks a good deal better from everything I have seen so far. It's not perfect, but still. Of course, I'll have to hold off until we see some videos from Steve before I make the final call on Madden.

I'm starting to lean towards not buying NCAA now. I'll try the demo when it comes out soon, but if that doesn't impress me, this will not be an instant pickup for me. I'll read the impressions from you all after the game comes out and make a decision, but I can't stand to play a game with no defense.

You can have it both ways.

Little Timmy or Joe "I don't know a damn thing about football" Shmoe can still pop the game in on default settings and get their 8 TDs a game with no punts on 5 minute quarters.

But if you give us sliders that work and VASTLY improved CPU AI on the higher difficulty settings...we "sim" guys can have an experience as close to a real college football game as a video game can get.

But they keep dropping the ball.

They keep showing a severely skewed interest in catering mainly to the casual "arcade" crowd and much less to us sim guys.

See "Season Showdown"....an absolutely useless feature in the ACTUAL game. It doesn't affect anything in the actual game..and yet this is a huge addition that is plastered all over 3 blogs by EA and is constantly brought up in interviews.

By that same token...an absolutely essential aspect of football...a pass rush...is still left unattended.

Even after 365 days of screaming at the top of our collective lungs to fix it...dear lord...FIX IT.

They don't.

"Then at least give us more and effective sliders to make the game play more realistically."

They don't.

This isn't an exaggeration...we have someone with the game, posting visual EVIDENCE that neither of these near "game killing" (yes I used the phrase) issues have truly been fixed. Not one bit.

Again...I am completely flabbergasted and very upset about this.

And to top it all off...we were lied to about these aspects getting a major overhaul.

Again...a picture is worth a thousand words. 10 videos are worth a million words.

I don't even have to post now, this is perfect.
