Re: NCAA Football 10: Head to Head Gameplay video

I think they should make you control the snap on field goals and punts. In real life, at least half of the time, when a punt or FG goes bad it's because of a poor snap. They need to incorporate this into the game. Also, I wish they would take away the alignment arrow and corresponding line on the kick meter on the AA and Heisman difficulties.

So, the way it would work is you would first pull straight back on either the left or right stick to snap the ball. Depending on how accurate (or inaccurate for that matter) you were the snap might be high, low, to the side, or possibly even wide of the holder. Bad snaps would result in decreased accuracy. As soon as you completed the snap, you'd use the right stick to kick the ball like normal (keep in mind, you wouldn't have the alignment arrow, or anything else telling you how far left or right to kick the ball.) This system would incorporate the opportunity for a bad snap (without it being a random thing decided by the CPU), it would make kickers kick the ball more slowly (increasing the chance of getting the kick blocked, especially on longer field goals), and it would make kicking much more about "feel" due to the lack of the alignment arrow and kick meter line.

I know this is a little off topic for this thread, but since some others had brought up field goals being too easy, I thought I'd share my idea.
