what was your favorite running back to use in the history of madden?
for me it is a toss up between madden 2003 Marshall Faulk and madden 2001 Emmit smith, in 2003 i would pick the rams every game not for kurt warner and Issac Bruce but for marshall and i would run rampant. in madden 2001 the team i hated the most was the team i used the most because of emmit smith.

Anyway, I guess I'll have to go with Westbrook. He's the man when it comes to passing the ball to him.
Peterson in 09 and 10 is up there too.Jay Cutler is a whiny little girl.Comment

Re: what was your favorite running back to use in the history of madden?
Madden 05 and 06 Correy Dillon [and 2k5]. He was still very good and with the Patriots line and Tom Brady, Dillon was a beast to deal with. Any down could be a run or a pass. I can only imagine what a NE offense would have been like with Dillon and some receivers [like Moss and Welker].
I also like how a lot of people have selective memories and forget that back then the Patriots weren't the "in team" to be. Everyone was either Philly for McNabb, T.O., Westbrook, and the great Jim Johnson Defense; Indy for Manning and his three monster WRs [Harrison Wayne and Stokley], Edge and those defensive ends [Freeny & Mathis, Bob Sanders was still a rookie proving himself]; or Carolina for Smith/Mohamed, Davis, and that great D. Hardly anyone wanted to be NE, they had to WRs and no one likes the 3-4. Don't get me wrong, people played other teams, liek the steelers and such, but those were fans. "Everyone" [ie cheesers who just wanted "the best team(s)] used those three. It was a lot of fun for me to take NE and pound the ball, throw short passes to Troy Brown and play suffocating Defense with Law, Harrison, and that front 7. Good times.
Now that you have me thinking about it, I may have to go in and start up a Patriots franchise and make a trade with someone for a great running back. Maybe Take LT for a spin in his final years just like Dillon.Comment

Ricky Williams in either Madden 04 or 05. I traded for him or signed him as a free agent for my giants and he was just unstoppable. Ran all over the place.Go Yankees
Go Rangers
Go Giants

By far its Barry Sanders Madden 97 on SEGA. B4 I became a strictly- sim player I was a 13 yr old stat freak all about breaking records. 2 1500 yard recievers in Herman Moore and Brett Perriman, 5500 yd passer (forgot who the Lions QB was) and of course a 2500 yd season with Barry. Don't know how many of you young bucks played Madden 97 but if you knew how to time your spin button you could break of some ridiculous highlight reel runs with Barry. Good times....Comment
