mods i dont know where to post this so if there is a thread for updates on the ps3 patch i am sorry if i missed it and i have tried to serch but i get nothing for results

so if this is already posted go ahead and lock it or if it belongs in another thread please merge it


but i did not post it in the 360 thread means this is not about the 360 but if it belongs there i am sorry i just dont post in this nba 2k fourm much as i mostly hang out in the football fourms more

anyway i dont know if he is talking about NBA 2K10 Or NHL 2k10 and i dont quite understand what he is saying but does anyone know what he is talking about anyway here is the update

We are absolutely within a week on the PS3 version patch as I promised a few days ago (within 10). Could be even sooner.

Just by what you typed out, it sounds like he's referring -in parentheses- how many days ago he sent the message out about the PS3 patch. And he is also saying that the patch could possibly be out sooner than what was projected.

I'm enjoying the game as it is but i do wish they'd hurry up with the damn patch already.

This looks like a classic case of the patch didn't pass certification and has to be re-submitted. Since Ronnie is quoting the exact same time frame he did when it was originally submitted. Hopefully VC fixed whatever sony that was messing up whatever part of the PSN or gaming problems i.e. crashing, freezing whatever. You look at the time it was submitted to MS and Sony was the same time and now you're looking at another week or so its obvious it didn't pass. This is pure speculation on my part so take it with a grain of salt with a pinch of truth.

I haven't been able to play this game since it was released and have been waiting for this patch. If this patch doesn't fix it then I'm afrai I just wasted money on a game I can't even play to its full extent due to its problems.

Can you be any more vague? You saw the patch list. You can see all of the 360 patch impressions. You should know good and well what was addressed. If your issues are not on that list, then what are you waiting for? I just find it odd you can't name any specific issue or issues that you care about, yet you're acting as if they mean everything in the world.

Good guess, but no. Sony is just taking a long time. You need to realize that this goes through multiple branches of Sony (Sony America and Sony Europe, which each have different levels of activity in their approvals department). Once the last of the two passes, these two departments need to communicate and work out the simultaneous release times.

You need to realize that this goes through multiple branches of Sony (Sony America and Sony Europe, which each have different levels of activity in their approvals department). All this work for simultaneous releases across the globe. Wish there was this much "coordination" for simultaneous releases of things regarding the 360 vs PS3 problem lol.

Pfft how can I complain I just got the game today lol. Oh well I feel the pain for all the PS3 owners here

Not to end up derailing the thread, but Sony has really disappointed me on so many levels over the last five years. I think they really lack foresight and execution as a corporation and have not thought vicariously about how the customer perceives the way they handle things. The number of times I've had to wait for Sony to give the "ok" on demos, patches and like after other platforms have long received them is just another set of examples.

Thanks Sim, I always enjoy when developers shed some light on issues that we gamers simply don't know much about. It helps the community become more informed and understand what goes on behind the scenes. I wish devs did more of that.
