Bah, up to this morning for SE Wisconsin they were predicting anywhere from 7-12 inches of snow.

They've dropped it to 5 to 9 inches by midnight tonight. We currently have 2-3 in the driveway and currently, it's a very very light snow.

      Its 4, feels like -7.

Atleast the sun is out with no snow falling.

I always come into January thinking it'll be fine and every time it gets bitter cold.

6°, feels like -13°. We ended up getting another 4" or so last night. With the wind I had some crazy snow drifts in front of my garage this morning.

          Snowing. Like. Crazy.

I've already shoveled at least 3 inches in the drive way and we're only supposed to get 2-4 tonight.

I love the snow, always have every since I was a kid. Most kids love snow but then you get older and for various reasons your opinion changes. Why do I love it? Well for one it's beautiful. The way everything looks after a fresh snowfall is simply amazing to behold IMO. And even after it falls it's still pretty (for a while anyways).

Secondly, I love distinct seasons, as in spring, summer, winter and fall. I believe having snow in the winter, leaves in the summer, flowers in the spring and sunshine in the summer is how it should be.

Third, I love how it brings camraderie to a lot of folks, like people helping each other out, neighbors shoveling each other's driveways, helping older people get to the store, etc..times like big snows can bring out the best in folks and often creates a "we are all in this together" attitude which I like.

Fourth, I simply love cold weather. I'm one of these folks who are always hot and it's nice for a change to NOT be hot. I'm not saying I don't wear a jacket but I am always about 10-20 degrees hotter than everyone else so this sort of weather is what I enjoy.

And lastly, how can you not love the change of mundane life that a good snow storm can bring about? Like today our business allowed us to go home @ 3:30pm due to the storm...it's nice being able to come home early, put on some movies and watch the snow fall, a real change of pace from M-F 9-5 crap where every day seems the same.

So there are 5 reasons as to why I love the snow. I'm sure some or all of those apply to most other folks who love the snow as well.

We've got at least 2" so far, supposed to get 3 to 5 more. Who knows down here, the weather stations are always wrong.

If we have a 30% chance of snow we end up getting 3" inches. If we have an 80% chance of snow we get at most flurries. I don't know what to believe any more.

It's why they're called "whether" man...they don't know "whether" it will be this forecast or "whether" it will be another one.

They already gave us the day off for snow. Last I heard it was expect 1-2 1/2inches at the most. Supposed to feel like single digit temperature.

Looks like some areas around Panama City, FL saw some flakes last night going off OBS.

I saw a few flakes last night before changing over to rain. Temperatures weren't even supposed to be a problem for me, but as is typical, everything that can go wrong will go wrong.
