It was all sunshine and rainbows on this day for the Vanderbilt Commodores as they defeated the Catamounts of Western Carolina 52-0.
Being a senior lead team, means one thing. Expect a potential huge year out of the guys who may never play organized football again. RB Jared Hawkins had a stellar day rushing for 161 Yards and collecting 4 TD's.
The defense was rock solid in this one allowing the Catamounts to only 50 yards rushing and under 200 yards of total offense.
QB Larry Smith connected on passes of 53 and 35 yards in the first half for his first and second passing touchdowns of the year.

The defense was led by 8 sacks. Three of those coming from RE Stephen Stone. DT Greg Billinger had 2 of his own.
The Commodores jumped out to a 21-0 first half lead and then opened up the scoring with 4 consecutive rusing TD's in the third to make it 49-0 heading into the fourth.
