I still have 09 and play it almost every day. It's a great game and plays just like the PS3 version, aside from the graphics.

PS2 version?
Curious if anyone has picked up MLB 10 The Show for the PS2? If so, what are your impressions? Any improvements/changes from last year? How do the stadiums look?

Re: PS2 version?
I wouldn't expect the PS2 version to be much different than MLB 09. The stadiums and rosters most likely have been updated, but other than that, it's probably the same game.Comment

Re: PS2 version?
Yeah, 09 is a great game. I've got a Rockies franchise going right now. I was considering getting 10, but I think I'll hold off as I've been saving up money for a PS3 and hope to get one in the next 1-2 months; I've already got enough credit at GameStop to get The Show 10.
But, I'm a sucker for updated lineups and new stadiums (Target), so there's probably a good chance I get this when Opening Day rolls around.
Let me know what you think when you get to play the game. Happy early b-day, too

Re: PS2 version?
The rosters should be exactly the same as the PS3 ones. There is a question about roster updates on the PSP as they won't be using SportsConnect this year. I'm not sure if the PS2 will be (I hope so), but man, it was great last year getting weekly roster updates for the PS2 version.Currently Playing:

Here's a video of the PS2 version. I didn't create it.

Re: PS2 version?
Thanks for posting. Target Field looks good. Gameplay looks pretty much identical to 09, which is a good thing. I noticed new stat overlays and I like that there were new factual notes under certain players.
Does anyone know if there will be weekly roster updates like last year? If so, I may have to pick this up sooner than later.Currently Playing:

I am impressed by graphics and gameplay. It looks better than the other series on the market. Pretty great for a PS2 game.Comment

Re: PS2 version?
It really is a credit to SCEA San Diego that they put this much attention into the PS2 game. Aside from graphics and a few options, the gameplay is almost identical to the PS3 version.
I'm still playing 09 but man, I may have to trade it in and pick up 10 (I have store credit @ GS too so won't cost any out of pocket) to tide me over until I get my PS3 later this spring.Currently Playing:
