for me full court passes go out of bound 90% of the time. Very rarely do guys complete long passes for wide open dunks. I find it rather annoying when i have a guy wide open for an easy basket and my guy throws the ball 8 feet over his head. In real life, NBA players will complete that pass. How often do you really see guys in the NBA sail the ball over a teammate's head on a long pass? Not often because these guys are pros and can complete that pass.

Also, i can't stand in the half court how often a guy throws the ball over a teammate's head. Like if you drive and want to kick it out for a open teammate to shoot the guy maybe 60% of the time sails the ball over his teammate's head.

I do agree about the shots off the side of the glass though. That one is frustrating.

Its is really cheese to see a big man with no passing skills throw passes No coach in the NBA would allow his center to throw completed at such a high rate.

Also to fix your kick out problem. The only reason kick out passes will go over players head is because the player you threw it with has a low pass rating. You usually need a passing rating over 81 or something like that.

My point was that 40 just seems like a high and arbitrary number. Instead of coming up with 40 "problems" and saying hey fix this, why not, come up with 2-3 really really good ideas of how to fix a few things. This article just seemed to lack anything new or interesting. I could all these gripes plus more in the forums already.

#1, even big men in the NBA can throw a full court pass semi-accurately to a guy thats wide open down the other end, they aren't going to throw the ball 10 feet over his head. That takes a heck of a lot of arm strength to sail the ball over the guy's head like they do in the game, and i shouldn't be punished for making a nice play, having a guy break free down court yet a guy can't make a full court pass?

Anyone that's played basketball knows a full court pass isn't ridiculously difficult. Problem is they have them throw baseball passes in the game instead of a two hand overhead pass which is much more accurate and thrown with more precision and less strength. And for a professional in the NBA, they should be able to make full court passes if a guy is wide open.

Also, thats not the reason i have problems with kick out passes. Unless you're telling me Lebron James has a low passer rating, it's not the problem. I can't tell you how many times ive run an iso at the top for Lebron, drove to the hoop, had a defender help off a guy standing at the 3 point line, try to pass him the ball for a wide open 3 only to have it sail 5 feet over his head.

About My Player, for the love of GOD let us choose length of minutes of each game, cuz I don't wanna have to play through 12 minute quarters in summer league or training camp just to play 12 minute regular season games for realistic minutes, stats, and scores.

Also, the whole hockey style substitution stuff needs to go. I've literally be subbed in a 3:34. Subbed out at 3:21. And then subbed back in at 2:49. C'mon 2K. No team in the world subs in 50 something overall rookies in late in a close game.

I think they just need to concentrate on some exploits, fix or redo my player, and heavy focus online play. I love NBA TODAY. 2kPlease put in Online Lobbies that are ranked.

Online play did suck out of the box, but has been fixed after the patch. It should be effective out of the box and all of the features should work next year, if that's what you mean. But they shouldn't focus solely on online play if it sacrifices other things (improved Association mode, MyPlayer) for offline players.

it really sounds like you were playing the unpatched version.
the patch addressed all these issues.
and foul trouble is fine the way it is. if your star player gets into foul trouble, do what any coach would do, put him on the bench.

if anything they need to fine tune the blocking foul. Its not called enough.

#6 shots behind teh backboard is teh only thing I agree with it. But this doesnt happen a whole lot. If you play under control, it rarely happens.

Ive played with a cousin of mine and it was happening to him alot, but his style fo play was "AND-1" style of play. I play a more fundamental style of ball.

How about improving fouling in general? There need to be moving screen fouls and more blocking fouls. The game has shooting fouls almost exclusively. Finally please fix the simulation engine it is calculating NBA game FGA at 105 per game when the highest NBA team this season was shooting 85, and it also shoots way too low a FG%. These two things throws off rebounding and all other statistics in association.

I don't mind those passes going over players heads. No one throws that many long passes in the NBA. The reason your open is because you leaked or left early. Cherry Picking.

Cherry picking is not in the NBA so those passes should continue to not be completed. It was a major problem on 2k8. It was fixed with a patch.

The biggest problem with 2k is that most people can be competitive shooting right under the basket.. 2k needs to take a look at shot charts from actual games. No one in the NBA averages 50% of their points in the paint. Not even the worst three point teams.

If they would have made the block feature stronger 2k8. Or allow for higher steals under the rim like in 2k8 it will allow me to police my own middle. After getting a bunch of shots blocked or stolen when your trying to score on 4 people under the rim most people would get the point and stop running under the rim. They would be forced to play real bball.

Like mostly everyone I played in 2k8. The post defense was strong enough that these cheap layups would not be scored all game long with nothing you can really do about it.

rangerrick012: Umm. Online sucked big time out of the box. The post defense was non existent. It' got better but it's still to easy to score under the rim.

The one thing they can do is bring back the online lobby from 2k8. It would allow me to look at a players shot chart before I play them.

That way I could avoid the rim runners. If I could see 50% of your shots are layups and 25% are dunkss and maybe you shoot 5 jump shots a game I would know I don't want to play you.

That lobby could have kept me from playing hundreds of cheesers.

Also they must bring back the Hall of Fame ranked lobby.

That hall of fame ranked lobby was the true ballers heaven. No cheesers allowed. It's what made 2k8 my favorite bball game of all time.

To me 2k10 is great but the defense is what is lacking to make it better than 2k8.
