Is there any way we can manually assign this pitch when creating our players, because i dont recall seeing it in the pitch selection. Or is it just randomly distributed to minor leaguers?

Vulcanchange
I was messing around with some of the randomly generated minor leaguers when i ran into a starting pitcher with a vulcanchange.

Re: Vulcanchange
I dont know what it does in real life, but in the game it seems to function almost exactly like a circle changup. Which, in retrospect, is probably why it's not a selectable pitch.
It seems like it might have a bit more horizontal break to it, but that might just be me.Comment

Re: Vulcanchange
Well, in my game it's on "Odell Jacobson", a fictional pitcher on the Marlin's single A team. However, the default rosters dont seem to have him, nor do the newest ones. He must have been included in one of the earlier roster versions.
There's probably another one floating out in the minors somewhere. But as i said before, the pitch is almost nothing more than a circle change with a different name. The announcers even call it like a circle change is being thrown.Comment

Re: Vulcanchange
Lincecum throws a Vulcan Change, I'm pretty sure and it has sinking tailing movement.
In real life - not in gameComment

Re: Vulcanchange
This is driving me nuts, I want to see this pitch in action. There was some kind of video of a guy using a gameshark for pitches that are not in game but do exist in real life. The guy had a vulcan in his repertoire but all he pitched was sliders and gyroballs.Favorite teams:

Re: Vulcanchange
It's probably a little different for everyone that throws it; it is not that common.RTTS: CL Antonio Ramos, drafted 1-4 by the Miami MarlinsComment
