Re: Madden 11 Redskins Vs. Broncos full game (normal speed)
I'm what you'd call an EA ***** but that was better than I expected. I won't be buying the game (at least not the current gen version) but it seems like if they could make tackling more realistic then the game wouldn't be bad at all. I think they need to go back to the old system where guys would go down after being hit more or less right away. Rarely are guys able to stand up and fight a defender to break away, but it seems on Madden that pretty much every time the ball carrier has a split second where he might break free. I realize they want it to feel like every tackle could be broken rather than just accepting the fact that you've been tackled, but it makes it look much less realistic. They also need to fix gang tackling, too many guys just flopping around the ball carrier while one guy takes him down. I'd like to see guys "finishing" off a runner who is going down/mostly down like in real life. I don't mean the whole NFL Blitz thing where you jump on him, but more tackle assisting rather than the "fall on the ground" stuff. I wonder if the game engine is the problem in this regard.
