Recruiting: Once you get a recruit to 100% interest...

is there any point in still spending 60 minutes with them? Or should you just recruit them for 20 minutes to cancel out any negative recruiting?

I guess what I'm saying is that once they have full interest, does it matter if you gain +400? or is it a waste of time?

Depends how big of a lead you have, if the next closest team is also at 100%, you better spend a lot of time on them, if the next team is 20 or more away, you can relax a little. If it is somebody I really want, I prefer to lock them up quick and get it over with so I have more time the next week.

For me I don't stop doing what I had been doing until they sign. I guess if you are the only offer they have then you could scale back but I don't do that. I go hard until the end.

What was that movie about real estate? Its motto was ABC. ALWAYS BE CLOSING. LOL Im the same since I limit targets to 15, I try to get him signed as soon as possible so I can get those minutes freed up for remaining or new targets.

it depends on if your in a race for another recruit that you really need. if your way ahead then dont spend as much time and use the time you saved on getting the other guy, but i wouldnt put less than 40 minutes no matter how big a lead i got

depends on how many points im up and if the other schools are recriting him. They are a few guys this year that I'm up like 700 points on the next school so even though I need him real bad. I'm just spending 10 or 20 min a week and I'm able to keep my lead.

what i'm trying to ask is if spending that extra time really makes a difference? if they're 100% interested, they can't gain any more interest, right? maybe that 60 minutes should be spent negatively recruiting the team that is #2?

I thought I had a 5-star WR locked up but spent less time with him and his soft verbal to me turned into a hard commit to Alabama.

I'd keep the foot to the gas until the deal is sealed.

When I have alead of at least 500-600 points I start to quick call my recruits for 20-30 minutes. If I notice the cpu is catching up I recruit them myself.

Yeah I would check the other schools and see the point difference. A kid can be soft committed to one school with a full bar but have two other schools with a full bar and listed as -1 point behind. If that is the case I would keep spending max time with him as I have seen plenty of guys flip in that situation.

Now if you have a 700 point lead an no one has offered him I probably would back off and just spend 10 to 20 minutes on him for the chance that he will commit in the phone call.
