Anyone else having this issue? It's incredibly frustrating because thats the majority of the Rockets offense. Dump it into Yao and then pass out for the three BUT I can't make ANY..how am i suppose to win.

Impossible to make a shot Online...
I play with the Rockets. I've played 5 games and I've not made a three with brooks or martin...I practice the release of their shots before I go into each game but I still can't make a shot...its ridiculous.

Re: Impossible to make a shot Online...
I wouldn't recommed playing ranked games unless you have things mastered, literally. The slight lag can cause majors problem in a game as "touch sensitvie" as 2k11. Lobby games or games against friends should be fairly close to what you see offline.Comment

Re: Impossible to make a shot Online...
The shot releases online are earlier than the releases offline. Go to MY NBA Settings.....then Presentation.....then set Jumpshot Feeback to ON. This will bring up the shot releases indicator that you see in practice in online games.
Once you have this on, then you can see how you are actually releasing the shot in game.....and as you will notice the shot releases online are earlier because of the slight lag.
I play ranked matches with the Bulls, and barely miss a jumpshot with D.Rose. The thing is he's not even considered a great shooter....he has like a 82 or 83 Mid range J.........but because I have his release down so good, I hardly miss with him even when I get just a tad bit of space.Lineup:

Re: Impossible to make a shot Online...
Bottom line is......
You can't practice shot releases in "practice mode" and then hop online and expect to be draining 3 balls. The only way to practice is to keep playing online and work on your shot during online games.......
It's the only way.Comment

Re: Impossible to make a shot Online...
Yeah, this is a problem. There shouldn't be a difference between the offline and online release points. This needs to be addressed and fixed. As good as this game is offline, I gotta give it an "F" for online experience, again. This release point issue combined with the fact some people like myself still can't get a ranked match consistently, tells me that yet again, 2k has failed in their online experience and I could of sworn they were saying this year online was going to be right. Get it fixed already would ya?Last edited by joel0078; 10-14-2010, 04:10 PM.Comment

Re: Impossible to make a shot Online...
I just had an idea.....Would it make a difference in the shooting difficulty if you changed the shooting style from "shot stick timing" to "real shooting %"? That should eliminate having to rely on your release timing, which is subsequently affected by the lag, online. What do you guys think?Comment
