Anyone playing this on a killer system?

I've been playing 2K11 on a pretty nice 18.4 inch laptop. The graphics look incredible on MAX resolution with mods etc. Obviously the drawback is the smaller screen + PC sounds just aren't as good as full home theatre set ups.

I've also been playing on a 360 with a 37 inch HDTV and a high level set of 5.1 surround sound heaphones. Very smooth and the sound is awesome. (Play in Quicken Loans Arena, the sound effects are incredible)

I've got no complaints using either system...

However.........I went to my brother's place last night and put the game on over there. He's not a basketball gamer, so I took my own copy on the 360.

He's got a 60 inch TV with a full home theatre...7.1 surround sound, massive speakers all around the room etc.

And...............wow. I've never seen anything like it in terms of NBA gaming. I was completely blown away. I heard sounds i'd never heard before, the game felt like the players were there in his home theatre room...on a 60 inch / 7.1 system it's just insane.

I kind of felt crushed though coming home and playing it on the laptop today.............................

It got to me to wondering, any of you fellas out there playing it on a killer system? Care to post in game pics etc? I'm interested in what set up some of you are playing 2K11.

Not me. I just upgraded to HD after buying 2K11. Wish I had the money to have that kind of setup.

I play on a 56" 1080p tv with a 7.1 setup, and yeah its nice. I want to get into the PC version (esp w all the mods) but my pc is nothing like my tv setup so i just cany justify it.

40" 1080p HDTV and Turtle Beach X31 headset. It's all I need. I get great sound and it drowns out the wife/child when need be.

Re: Anyone playing this on a killer system?

In my bedroom I got 40' hd Samsung..either it's 40 or bigger, can't remember. The graphics already looked great but tweaking the picture settings on the tv make a difference. I picked up a Samsung soundbar a couple weeks back, it's really really good since in my bedroom it would be dumb for me to get a 5.1 or 7.1 setup.

On Mode for the picture settings if you have it on dynamic, try standard. For a 1080p you want the sharpness to be down to 0.

This are the settings I'm rolling with. I have a Samsung so I'm sure a good portion of Samsungs have the same settings.

Mode: Standard (Dynamic setting is typically what they have it shown on sets that are in stores) Standard looks more life like. Not so bright.

                  Backlight: 8

Contrast 95 (Really don't want it above 95)

                  Brightness 46

                  Sharpness 0

                  Color 47

                  Tint (G/R) G50/R50

For advanced settings I turned a bunch off since it wasn't needed.

                  Black tone: Off

                  Dynamic contrast: Off

                  Gamma 0

                  Color Space: Native

                  Flesh tone: 0

                  Edge enhancement: on

                  Then for more picture options

                  Color Tone: Normal

                  Digital NR: Auto

                  HDMI Black Level : Low

                      72 inches....damm!

Do the graphics pixelate at that size or stay sharp?

I know this is and old thread but I'm playing (not NBA) on a 106" screen with 720p projector and 5.1 surround.. Its pretty freaking sweet. To answer your question, the graphics stay sharp.

MLB the show is literally life sized as is any driving game (DiRT 3, Forza 4 cockpit view is great)

I see your projectors and raise you a 112" screen projected in 720p, 5.1 surround sound, and 2 900watt rms 10" subs.
