Didn't get the feeling that the jump from 09 to 10 was all that significant, that's why I skipped the 10-version. But 11 is definitely a must-buy, as I get the impression that we'll see a huge jump from the current version.

It's gonna be great to play with my Sox again, I'm loving the off-season so far.

If that is truly the case I will be picking up 2011 (after a nice price cut) 2009 can hold me over till next September or October.

You are one patient individual . I always get the show on release day. I am anxiously awaiting franchise news (which accounts for 95% of my playing time).

Why wait for a price cut? Unless $ is an issue of course. I have zero issues giving SCEA full price due to them actually improving and listening to the gamers input.

$$$ is not an issue. I just have 2K11, NHL 11, MAdden 11 and NCAA11 and then I get into CH2K8 in March again. I have so many Chises keeping me busy, plus I am going into my 3rd season with the Yankees in the Show 2009. I play almost every game (162) of my franchise in The Show. So just by playing my other sports games so much and trying to win my first title with the Yankees (been knocked out of the ACLS 2 years in a row!!!) in the 2009 version I figure by September of 2011 I will be ready for a new version of the Show if indeed 2011 warrants an upgrade over 2009. Might as well save 20-30 bucks to boot.

I hope the game truly kills it with analog hitting and pitching because that could be a game changer. And I am a stout fan of MVP 2005 (loved the controls which were perfect). I think the Show 2009 along with NBA2K11 are hands down the best sports games ever.

That's cool I understand. There are certain games that I try not to pay full price for also. In the case with SCEA, I have no problems paying the full release price as they never cease to amaze me how much they care and listen to us.

all i ask is for them to incorporate the offline franchise mode into an online franchise. me and a buddy had to keep emailing the file back and forth and would move a week at a time to work around this, ugh. ncaa football seems to be the only game that has gotten this right in terms of online franchise.

hmm, iirc the move will only be used during home run derby. I got one for xmas and haven't really used it much because there aren't too many games for it quite yet. I was hoping The Show would make good use of it this year, but if it is only during home run derby I will be quite disappointed.

I got no problems with the other controls, but I was looking forward to using the move with this one. Oh well.

The term MOVE is just an abbreviation for MOVEMENT. A la Wii. If you're skilful enough to hit the ball safely, say 4 times out of 10, some Major League teams might sign you up! After all, Ted Williams was the last to hit .400!

I basically quit playing mlb 10 in December after the computer would still make stupid trades and signings without my permission in franchise mode, even with manual settings. I'm pretty certain I'll be getting 11 as it sounds more fun.

Does anyone know if Coop mode (not online) will allow more than 2 players on the same team? Just wondering if my buddies will be able to do 3 or 4 players vs cpu.

According to Enigma in the impressions thread, it sounds like you can only play 2vs2. Here's what he said about it:

Co-op can not be played in franchise mode this year. (they tried but it will be next year)

It can only be played in exhibition and online.

Only two PS3s can do co-op online with the current network. Meaning...

If you and a friend are on one PS3 in the same room, you can play against either the CPU online, two other people on the same console somewhere else online, or against one person online.

You and a friend on another PS3 somewhere else can play co-op versus the CPU online as well.

                            (2vs2)
                            (2vs1)
                            (2vsCPU)

Local you can have 4 people on one console (2vs2), (2vs1) and (2vsCPU).
