Ok Show fans, to what level of baseball have you played?

Ok, this is just another thread to pass the time. Hopefully its ok to start up. Just curious, as to what level my fellow Show'natics have played the game of baseball in there life?

Myself, I started in T-Ball and went all the way through college. Played at a small NAIA school. Really wanted to continue my playing career, but am grateful to have made it as far as I did, although major college ball was a dream(as well as professional).

So, how about you? Lets share some glory day moments when we were the boys of summer.

BTW..I'm going to make this a poll. I'm really curious to see what the results are.

    EDIT: Please be honest.

I technically was on the SDSU team until my injury and cut. I never played an actual game though, but for a while I was on the roster.

My heel still is injured; this current injury has lasted me 17 months so far. I don't expect to be scouted and put back on the field for any professional level because of this hearkening, which is too bad.

Sorry to hear that Blzer. But hey, to have made the squad is something in itself. Best to be knocked out by injury than being cut due to skill.

T-BALL-Little League- American Legion- High-School- paid ride to divison #1 Jucco College , rookie instruction league invite for the Rays, Braves , Mr Rocco Baldelli showed me that if you don't set hitters up Major League hitters hit with a game-plan and you let your guard down 1 pitch the next pitch gets toasted 450 feet toasted lol Tore my rotator cuff and that was the end of that for pitching as I was overused to much a youngster and had alot of damage throwing pitches like sliders and curves to early, when all I really needed was my out pitch which was a circle change combined with 92MPH. Attempted to come back as a right fielder power doubles hitters but good changeups and sliders were what did me in by the time I figured it out I had a family which had health problems and had to join the real world now in the GOV with information systems.

29 years of age now and will get back to Baseball as a scout of something , that fire is there and to much knowledge to pass on , can't wait to watch players online with co-op mode become feared hitters and better understanding of the game , every pitch truly can setup the game outcome.

Example most people think taking that 2-0 fastball first at bat down the middle as bad hitting with nobody on where in 4th inning with 2 outs 3-2 count 2 runners on that same fastball a little off the center of the plate gets adjusted and roped for a clutch RBI

High school politics killed my dreams...

When the coach plays someone who can't catch and gets hit in the face by the ball, you know your screwed.

4 year starter in HS, blew out my arm before going to college so I went to business school instead.

Honestly was probably for the better.

4 years in HS, and had a chance to walk on at the University of Maine, but decided to devote all of my time to school instead (Electrical Engineering). I probably wouldn't have had much playing time anyways, as I was a pretty poor fielder, but decent with the bat.

I REALLY miss playing. I'd love to coach at some point though.

Re: Ok Show fans, to what level of baseball have you played?

I went up to Little League Baseball for like 6 years starting at the age of 8

I also signed up for a few teams, my last team was in the summer of 2 years ago where my coach offered me to join his own team
(I was taking classes with him a month before he did that so I can learn the game some more and not be afraid of the ball) I accepted and was part of his team for 1-2 weeks before one day ** I got really angry and slammed my glove in front of his feet (Like if he was the umpire and I was the manager arguing for a bad call) well just the same situation except I wasn't gonna come back... ever since that I never touched a bat

I still have a chance to join my Baseball team in High School but I don't feel like trying it out till next year so I can practice a bit this summer instead of being the laughing stock of the whole school. My dreams of being a professional though.. is slowly fading away since I'm into coding some Java and C++ now :/ Still something to be proud of at my age.

** I was angry because he made me the 2nd baseman of the team which I had no problem with..but he made me do many drills enough that most of the time I got hit in the face with the ball nearly moving my front teeth out of place.. I was trying to learn the quick move to home move where you get a relay throw to 2nd base (me) and then you quickly throw home.. he kept saying I was doing it wrong over and over in front of all my other team mates and I had enough and slammed my glove and walked away (I was 13 when this happened)

Stinks when someone has to bow out due to injury.

Do it hah. I coached a travel team of 12-13 year olds for two years and it was fun. This year I'm helping out with a first year pitching (so I think 9 year old) team.

I'm still at the age and point where I have a chance to make it far. I almost forgot about playing the sport 'till I saw all these fellow members of all ages saying they have tried it and love it.
