    2011 ACC Tournament

Should be a fun tournament with plenty of teams still needing to add to their resume to get in.

Just like the Big 12, I think this is pretty much a two horse race as to who actually wins it. Either UNC or Duke, and I'd imagine pretty much everyone would agree.

Duke and Carolina are obviously the two best teams, but something tells me one of the teams that needs to make a run could sneak up and grab it

With FSU beating NC State, the field is finally set.

I feel like Florida State and Virginia Tech make a run. Va Tech really needs to win because they beat Duke but then flop the next week at home.

LOL @ NC State or Wake Forest winning a game in the ACC tournament. They're both awful.

State was awful in 07, went to the finals, state was awful last year, went to the semi finals. It could happen if they are not playing for the l u l z.

                  Got Duke winning it.

I have the same feeling. I think either FSU or VT get by Duke if the refs/ACC allow it. UNC probably wins it all, but they need to use the bench wisely.

State was awful but never shut down on their coach those years. The writing is on the wall in Raleigh, and everyone knows it.

That is a good point, but you never know. The ACC is horrible outside of a few teams, so a decent run is not out of the question. The only team that I cannot see making any sort of run is Wake Forest because they are, quite frankly, absolutely terrible. Even NC State easily blew them out in both contests between the two teams.

You obviously do not follow State basketball then. They shutdown on Lowe the past 3 years, and still made it to the semifinals.

I expect Maryland to get embarrassed in either their first game or second game so either way this will be a quick out for us.

There is effectively zero chance Virginia Tech makes a run, IMO, because they don't have a bench to speak of. They have four active players averaging over 30 MPG (Dorenzo Hudson averages over 30 MPG as well, but he hasn't played since December due to injury), and Erick Green has 29.6 MPG on average. I have seen at least two games by them this year in which they have zero points off the bench.

You can't get far in the ACC Tournament unless you have a deep team which can give your star players some rest. The Hokies simply don't have this.
