Which team has your number in MLB 11: The Show

As I end the 1st season in Franchise mode, i took a look at the win-loss record vs. teams and I went 4-14 against the RedSox. Every time I played them, I served up plenty of long balls. It was usually the 1-5 hitters that were killing me. Even Jarrod Salty was hitting over .320 for the season. I've tossed a couple of gems with CC and my own created pitcher but for the most part, i've had my butt handed to me by the Sox all year.

Is there any team that owns you in this game?

not a team, but adrian gonzalez is the hardest guy to get out for me.

seems like he squares up against anything i throw at him.

I've had a shouting match with my tv many times because of this.

He simply will hit anything anywhere.

I'm in a tight race about a month from the All-Star break with STL, CHC, and PIT (I'm CIN). I feel as if PIT has been the toughest team to play against so far, though. McCutcheon and Neil Walker, man. James MacDonald is a pretty good pitcher, too.

Michael Bourn of the Astros is my kryptonite, though.

Ahh, I thought I was the only one who had difficulties with Gonzalez. It seems no matter what strategy I choose I always end up getting burned. If I pitch around him, my pitchers control becomes erratic and I miss the corners by a mile. But when I pitch to him he usually ends up with extra bases. If I walk him, he ends up scoring in the same inning.

Can't stand the RedSox in this game, EVERYONE up and down the lineup 1-9 is hitting over .290, 7 hitters are hitting over .310. How am I supposed to pitch to that lineup?!

It's frustrating having Crawford and Ells at the top of the lineup. Usually it's a leadoff single, stolen base and scoring on an extra base hit.

When i am a NL team it is always the Cubs.


AL team it is the Mariners.

Bad teams always own me because i think i'll kill them easily.

me too. iv seen he always swings on the first pitch. one time i gave him a first pitch 4seamer down and away and he belted it for a opp field HR. overall RedSox have my number...

As the Brewers, it's the Cubs. I cannot get through the lineup enough times cleanly to come out a winner.

As the Mariners, it's the A's. They have a putrid offense yet they can put up 7, 8, 9+ runs in a heartbeat against my studs (Vargas, Pineda, Felix). Matsui is the reckoning, just slaughters the ball against me, no. matter. what.

In my Rangers franchise, the Yankees are dominant against me, hopefully that will change now that Arod is out for the season.

I usually try to pitch him inside, if I get down in the count, i'm just walking him from now on.

Red Sox. I would be on a 12-game win streak in my Franchise had they not come into town and taken 2 out of the 3-game series. There are no easy outs and the top of the lineup is a nightmare. If you dare walk Ellsbury or Crawford, they cause trouble on the basepaths, then Gonzalez and Papi bring them in.

Pitching staff is a beast, too. Can't ever get anything going against Wakefield or Beckett.

^^ All of this is true... I don't know how I'm going to handle them if my team makes it to the ALCS in my Franchise.
