University of Newport Falcons Football

Welcome to my new CFB25 Teambuilder dynasty. I've given a solid run at dynasty reporting in the past with my Penn A&T Dynasty on NCAA 14 and though I disappeared a handful of times, I enjoyed telling stories and having the community be involved. Well, times have changed and I don't have the mental capacity to put THAT much effort into this anymore, but I do still love to have an arena to share my dynasty.

With that, we have my newest endeavor - The University of Newport Falcons. I won't promise consistency, I won't promise storylines, but I'd like to have some fun with this and carry Newport quite a few years into the future.

I have a few online dynasties I'm a part of that are obviously a little faster paced than this will be, but I love me a good solo dynasty where I can be immersed in my own mind.

Newport Jumps from FCS to FBS, Accept Invite to American Conference

Newport, RI - The University of Newport football program will be leaving the CAA in the FCS and will be joining the American Conference. This move is effective immediately and follows the announcement that the UMass football program is disbanding. The Falcons are fresh off a 2023 CAA Championship and second-round exit from the FCS Playoffs. They are led by head coach Reuben Bradley. The 38-year-old coach is in his third season at the helm and has resurrected the program from FCS bottom-feeder into playoff contender.

I'll likely be skimming over any in-depth Around the NCAA updates for the time being. We've all seen the wash, rinse, repeat of the first season of dynasties now that the game has been out for a bit. For the first season, maybe I'll do a mid-season update of rankings, leaders, etc.

It's very easy for my interest to fade out with reporting when I feel like I put more time and effort into posting around the NCAA updates than the actual games or other facets surrounding my teams.

I just wish you could use TeamBuilder in offline mode, but I get it. I had an idea to do a team from Alaska but didn't like that to keep anything close to an actual pipeline I'd basically have to kill Hawaii lol.

What team did you replace for Newport?

Good to see you posting. I remember you from NCAA14 days..

I really wanted to do Team Builders this time around, but I was very disappointed when I loaded in a bunch of schools and found out that the school your replace keeps the Proximity to Home area., so when I replaced UMass with Eastern Washington my Proximity to Home pitch was good for guy's in on the East Coast not the West Coast. It ruined it for me. because as a 70 Overall school Proximity to Home was my only A graded pitch but it didn't work on players from the Pacific Northwest (Idaho/Oregon/Washington) so my Pipelines were all jacked too.
