I May Have Found A Good Solution For a 1-Team Franchise.

So the big problem for everybody is the UDFA. Here is what i did. I start off with the Jets (Or w.e. team your going to use) and i get rid of all my UDFA and then on the "Player Management" screen i went to every team and changed the position of there UDFA to a position that team is set at and dont have any rookies at all. So for example the Eagles are fine with Vick, Young and Kafka so for all other UDFA the Eagles have change there position to QB or im sure there fine with Rocca(sp?) so if QB gets full then change the rest to a "P". When you sim the cuts there other teams will cut all the UDFA. Do it for all the teams just change the positions of the UDFA to a position that the team is set at already and doesent have any rookies at all. Then all you have to worry about is your one team after that. Hope you guys understand it.

It could work... Have you tested it?

Interesting. You might be onto something.

So you're saying go into edit mode, and change all the fake UDFA's to QB or P? (or some position the CPU is "all set" at)

And the CPU will cut those guys?

Did this work when you tried it?

(its possible if this works you might have single-handedly solved many a nightmare for many gamers lol)

Yeah you guys seem to understand it fine.
Yes i have tried it. I have not played much but im in week 2 of the regular season with no UDFA in sight. Works trust me. I have not seen any flaws or something like that

          Wow, this sounds awesome.

On my 3rd preseason game, so I can do this and hopefully it works.

(Alright, I might not do that, but I promise to give your post a heart felt "like" button.)

When you say "set" do you mean the max number at that position?

Does this also prevent teams from cutting their 1st round picks??

No. He means if the team has a high rated QB, change all the UDFA's to QB's. (in Edit Mode I think he meant)

Or if they have a high rater Punter, set all the UDFA's as a Punter.

At least I think thats what he means...

Well... I guess it would since the CPU will cut their 10 backup QB's first...

Exactly because you change all the UDFA positons to another position the team is set at already it will get rid of all of them first. That why i also say not to change it to a position you have a rookie at. To be more clear NO the CPU will not cut its 1st rounders. Tried it. Still got Fua on Bears etc etc. Hope your guys are understanding so you can have your own 1 team franchise.
