"Under the Lights" Notre Dame at Michigan

First night game in Michigan history, that alone makes it worth its own thread. Notre Dame losing took quite a bit of luster out of the game but it should be a good one none the less. Will be interesting to see if Borges will have any tricks up his sleeve for this one as he didn't show anything against Western Michigan.

It will also be interesting to see who Kelly trots out at QB for this one.

    Michigan 35
    Notre Dame 28

You know, the Michigan fans I know are expecting a win after last week's round of games. Here's the thing though: what got missed in USF beating Notre Dame is that the Irish actually dominated the game, but couldn't get out of their own way. I don't know if they'll fix that this week, but at this point I expect Notre Dame to win a close one.

I also expect an Irish win-the Irish figured out one week too late that Rees is their better QB. Michigan's defense still looked like it had a lot of problems despite the scoreline-statistically that was an even game. Also, as said the Irish dominated South Florida, just turned it over. I think Irish take it 38-31

What got missed in the Michigan game: what does ND prepare for? Michigan only ran about 6-10 plays. They even kept a similar look from last season. Didn't use a fullback either. Michigan gave ND nothing to study film on.

Defense, outside of WMU's first drive, the michigan defense held ok.

I see Hoke reviewing the tape and lol'ing at the Irish linebacker assignment discipline.

If the Irish LB's contain D-rob I like our chances. He's the deciding factor in the game.

On a side note I'm really excited for the night game and alt jerseys.

I'd say that's fair, but for some reason I feel an Irish win here. Maybe it's because everyone is overlooking ND after their loss, and it wouldn't be the first time I'm wrong, but I really expect ND to win this one.

I think Notre Dame is a damn good football team when they aren't turning the ball over five times per game. They rolled up 500 yards of offense against USF and their defense wasn't bad, either. I still maintain that they will be a top 15-20 team in the not too distant future. I expect the Irish to win by a touchdown or two.

I don't see Michigan losing the first night game. Should be some good atmosphere in Michigan Stadium.

                    Michigan wins 42-38

                      UM by 2 possessions.

I say 2 possessions because I have no idea what both defenses decide to play as.

I don't know why but I'm predicting a Notre Dame win. I'm probably going to regret that, but I hope for a good game.

Michigan all da...night. ND has nothing to go by except a look at our Defense(blitz schemes). Offense only had about what? 5 drives? Not much at all to go by at all. I think the D struggled early because they were having trouble lining up and then got settled and so did Mattison, probably some 1st game gitters. None the less that atmosphere in the Big House and pressure by Mattison with be Rees and NDs un-doing. I'm Calling 28-10 Michigan go blue.

Both teams have only played one game or almost a game, how much does Michigan really have to go by? I think people are overrating the impact on the game that the lack of film ND (or both teams IMO) will have.
