Please DON'T turn down gameplay intensity this year

The wailing last year seemed to have an effect on the final product last year because some people struggled to adjust to challenging AI

I think Czar said it best when he said "the ego can't take it"

There are alot of tools in this years game and I would like to take the time to learn about them all, all of the things talked about in those insights on both offense and defense, and how much more life like the CPU plays, the challenge is how it needs to be, CHALLENGING!!

I feel like there is a window to learn some things on defense as well as how to stop certain teams. Played the Spurs twice with Denver...got whipped the 1st game because I couldn't stop Tony Parker's driving and Manu's craftiness... the 2nd time I put them in their place (just thought about the Grizzlies last year )

Point im making is, you can learn new things, about executing, how to be more effective, and overall strategy

Last year the game was changed somehow, and this year I am starkly against anyone asking for this game's intensity to be toned down just so they can 3pt and dunk their way to easy wins...

While I am not saying its perfect as can be, I am saying is

I think 2k did a great job and I just wont let it go down without a fight

I hope and pray for this. For me, the gameplay is near perfect this year in terms of realism. I told myself if they make any changes and make it like last year, i'll just go without patches.

Its strange getting beat down in pro and all-star, this hasn't happen since like 2k5 when I first started playing this series.

The only thing that annoys me is the amount of up and under moves and who they are coming from, I might of missed this part in the impression thread but in my games I'm seeing a lot of up under moves. It's frustrating have your hands up defensively and then bam someone does an up under move and gets bailed out.

Yeah i hope they really don't make changes to it. This year it is more realistic, the D is realistic and intense. No i'm gonna drive to the hole and dunk every play. You actually have to think and play smart. I like the challenge, i don't want to play a game and blow someone out every game, i want games to be close. So far loving this game, leaps over 2k11

Absolutely agree. We all including myself should take a little time to see if the tools we have are effective before we ask for changes.

Like it was just said fix the bugs spare the gameplay.

I've played 3 games on Pro Sim and have been royally smashed all three times. I totally agree with the sentiment though, a challenging game means we will get a full 12 months enjoyment out of it.

Also I can fully acknowledge that the issue with difficulty is me. I'm all thumbs and toes with these new controls.

So absolutely 2K, keep the challenge but patch up any loose ends.

I totally agree with this thread but am comforted by the fact if the gameplay does change to make it easier I can just adjust the sliders to make it the challenge that I want or not download the patch. Like last year when the gameplay changed a little it was still just an awesome game. The gameplay this year is near perfect out of the box IMO and once again I also hope they don't change a thing because I don't want to mess with sliders that much.

I was going to make a thread like this last night. But was afraid it was going to be shut down.... But I quess oh well. lol

I've been looking for one glitch. And can't find it. I been playing on HOF Default. And I'm loving it!

Great post 23 Now heres the reality of it. Change is coming . Just take a look at issues people are complaining about already and the sad part is most are not even issues. It's human error.

There is no need to fix something with sliders that is not broken.

Some people are just lazy. I actually love the fact that, you HAVE to play defense to win a game... its basketball, who would've thunk it...lol


Its time out for the crutches used in the past to surface, just to pacify a few wailers who are stopping the games potential from being released.

Lets stop this microwave stuff and enjoy the process. Learn to shuffle your feet and use the R stick on defense and stop jumping then complaining about pump fakes. Thats a cop out right now because you dont want to change the way you've been playing defense in the past. Learn the new tools and find the strategy, psst......its pretty fulfilling!

Not only that, everything is not so predictable and I love it. I can't just run in the passing lane thinking ok this is when he passes the ball I can jump out now, or as soon as he goes this way all I have to do is hold the block button for 2 seconds and walla... Lets enjoy this experience this time, its a great game.

wonderfully written...Wonderful...the only problem Ive ran into when playing online is loose ball awareness. For instance I can strip a ball handler or tip a pass and can't pick up the ball..its like that with rebounds as well, 3 of my players (including me) will box out and seal the paint..then out of nowhere a gaurd will come and pick up the ball..

This same thing happen in 2k11..its like I hit a force field, because there's no way Nash and Carter should be snatching over hibbert and psycho T...

This is my only problem other than that its perfect

I love that ever possession counts this year. Either on offense or defense, if you want to win every possession means something.

Start jacking up shots for no reason and you'll pay for it. Don't want to play man up and attempt steals all game the cpu will make you pay.

I also love how the cpu sees mismatches and exploits them until you change it.

I love this years game because it forces you to play ball. If you want to run up and down the court shooting 3's and trying to dunk all the time, go play NBA Jam.

The defensive strategy in the game is a must. I'm loving the defensive focus on the d-pad. Just wish they wouldn't have put the camera angle adjuster on the d-pad

I played a random last night and it was one of the best games I've played. At first, he was trying to lead pass all day, but he kept turning the ball over. Once he got past that, he started to slow down and execute. He got himself back in the game, I ended up pulling it out at the end. Every single possession matters in this game and I love it! I didn't play online at all in 2K11, but I'm looking forward to an Online Association w/ some sim OSers! This game is gold! Please do not change the core gameplay, 2K. It's spot on.
