what is the hardest team to do a franchise with and why?

I've never tried one with them, but I'm going to guess Miami. There are pretty much no bright spots on that roster.
If not them try the Colts while having Peyton miss the 1st year. That will surely either raise your blood pressure to ridiculous levels or drive you into a deep depression, and a nasty drinking habit.Originally posted by slickdtcI'd ride his bus, that's all I'm saying.

Not the Dolphins, that defense is STACKED. All you need to do is sign a MLB, maybe trade for a decent nickel corner, and sign TJ Houshmandzadeh.
I'd say the Broncos. Besides a good pass-rush, they don't have much going for them.Comment

I'd go for Cincy.
There's no team in the NFL that has absolutely zero bright spots, but Cincy does only have a few.
Dalton has potential to be decent if used well, you'll need a new RB and a new O-line. The best part of the O is A.J. Green, he'll be your playmaker for years to come.
The D is decent at best, the secondary needs some work as does the linebackers.Comment

Some of the tougher ones to do.
Miami
Colts- Sit mannign for the first year, about 3 in, if he hasnt already retired, change him to a punter so that he is 12 ovr, like he retired.*AKA NFC3PO on the Madden Modding Discord*Comment

I would say imo go with the Colts as being hard. Either play with pre existing injuries or keep Manning on the bench and dont play him. Trade him in the offseason and go from there. You will need to rebuild the entire offense as they have not feature running backs who can carry the load. They also need better players on defense who can actually tackle. Maybe you could try switching them to a 3-4 defense if you wanted.Comment

No one is mentioning the Seahawks? No qb, decent at best rb, defense that has a lot of holes. They need a lot of help.Because I live in van down by the river...Comment

I have simmed through a few franchises with various teams (very big on the GM aspect) and i would honestly have to say the Colts are the hardest. There's Peyton manning and that's about it. sure you can make the playoffs for a couple of years but once manning is gone your team is garbage.

Re: what is the hardest team to do a franchise with and why?
I wanted to revisit this thread now that a few league weeks have gone by. I'm starting a new 32 team franchise, and to me it seems that the biggest challenges lie in MIA, IND, MIN, and STL.
Each team has a few pieces, so it's not like they're completely bereft of talent.
MIA has Long, Marshall, Bush (who can be deadly if used right), Dansby, Soliai, Wake, Smith and Davis. Those guys are young enough to build around, and Henne does have accuracy ratings in the 80s or high 70s so it's not like he can't function in the game.
IND seems to have a terrible line when I've played with them, but they do have Clark, Wayne, Garcon, Freeney, Mathis, Brackett, and Bethea. The QB situation is a huge problem, but if they address that and solidify the LB corps they'd be okay.
MIN is an interesting case because they have AP and Harvin (injury issues aside), plus Hutchinson on offense, and Allen, Williams, Greenway, and Winfield on defense. McNabb can get you buy for a season while Ponder matures. Their situation might be the most dire, though, since the D stars are aging, as is their best OL.
STL has Bradford, Jackson, and now Lloyd on offense, plus a Long and Laurinitis on defense. To me, their cupboard seems the most bare. No real receiving talent aside from the aging Lloyd, an aging HB, huge holes on the DL, LB, and DB corps, and definite issues on the OL.
Who do you think has it worse?Comment

Re: what is the hardest team to do a franchise with and why?
None, Since there are no teams really cap strapped anymore they are all pretty easy to rebuild..
Jag's have a ton of holes but has a A Pot QB and good RB
Colts Have manning, if you dump some of the older high priced Vets you can even keep manning.
not as fun rebuilding as it used to be when there were teams that only had like 1.5 mil of cap space. now most teams have double digits.Comment
