How old are you, MLB the Show fan?

Reading how some guys would get PS3 just for the Show, I got curious about the demographics of gamers who play the Show.

It's been discussed quite a few times that baseball the sport has been losing some ground on the popularity front (compared to, say, TV viewership for American football). Not sure if the issue is related, but it seems to me that here in OS there are quite a few "mature" gamers who enjoy the Show compared to younger guys in teens, say...

To which age group do you belong?

I'm in the generation who got brainwashed by the original Nintendo in 1980s. I was stunned by the *realism* when RBI baseball came out in 1986 with the real names of pro baseball players with different player attributes... Imagine giving the kid MLB 12 on Vita!!! How things have changed...

I'm 27. One of the first baseball video games I played was World Series Baseball for Sega Genesis. I never would've thought baseball games would come this far.

When I was a kid, the only game system we had was the SEGA Master System. The only ball game was Pro Baseball, and as a young kid I played that 'till I was sore in the thumbs.

            16. This is the series I've been growing up with. Started playing baseball video games when MLB 06 came out. Then MLB 06 The Show! I played The Show every year on PS2 or PSP until MLB 10 when I decided that I could not take another year of MLB 2K on my Xbox 360. So I sold a lot of my old PS2 and PSP games to buy my PS3. And I plan on buying this game on release day for the rest of my life.

I know! Your mind doesn't age as much as your body does. I still think like a 16 y.o. (which is obviously a bad thing).

Just turned 20 almost a month ago and I have bought The Show every year.

I date back to 3D Baseball for the Play Station, along with TP 98, 2000, and 2001. I have MLB 2000, 2002, 2003 (first year with Albert), 2004, and 2005. Not to mention I own MVP 2004, 2005, 06, All Star Baseball 2004, 2005, and MLB 2k7.

On release day I'm 25, by the end of the week I'm 26.

Happy that I fit into the 22-27 demographic, and happy that I'm not by any stretch of this poll "too old" to be playing video games. Hell, seems as though people well into their 40s and 50s are enjoying this game as well, and that is awesome.

Wish my father (who is 50) was into video games, but he quit way back when my mom was kicking his *** in duck hunt and top gun on NES.

My first baseball video game was Atari 2600. Yeah I know. When Intellivision Baseball was released I was in hog heaven.

Then of course RBI, Bases Loaded 2 (my fav in the series) and Baseball Stars.

The Show is a dream come true.
