Is anyone else loving Pulse Pitching?

This is one of THE best features SCEA has done to this franchise in my opinion. In fact it's groundbreaking. I absolutely love it. It's also no where near as easy as I thought it was going to be before I tried it.

I thought I would hate it, but I absolutely LOVE IT! This will be the only way I pitch in this game.

One look in the impressions thread would result in a huge yes...

I've only tried it a the demo at BB, but I ended up just leaving the ball in the middle and letting the ball go where it goes since I couldn't pinpoint it.

Would this tactic work over a full game vs trying to pinpoint it all game? I only played a few innings that way and no way to really tell.

I've played 2 full games now and I LOVE IT! I'm getting very realistic results, and it really gives me more control on my pitches than I thought it would. You know a bad pitch when it leaves your hand and hitters can make you pay. However, when you time it right, it's really rewarding to paint the corner.

Re: Is anyone else loving Pulse Pitching?

Absolutely love pulse pitching. I have only played 1 game so far with it,but I can tell this is going to be the way I pitch from now on.
At first I thought it was going to be to easy,as Kershaw was rolling along against the Halo's,going into the 5th it was 2-1 Angels....then Kershaw GOT ROCKED giving up 5 runs.

The funny thing about it was Albert wasn't a factor at all (the announcers even pointed it out) I guess I was so worked up facing him, that I got lazy facing the rest of the Angels lineup....BIG mistake

I was unsure about it at first but it grew on me after 2 games. It's great.

Played with it for about 3 innings and was wildly inaccurate. Didn't have a lot of time to play so I switched to my usual meter pitching. But I will definitely play around some more with it.

                      From the ESPN review
First, it gives you a throbbing headache after about two innings of staring at it.

Nope, not a problem. I just see a pulsing ring and that's it. I did see a vid showing this yellow "splotch"...but whatever I turned off in the options,I don't see it....so it's no big deal for me.

The yellow splotch is the hitting PCI and it can be turned on (visible) or off (not visible).

Love Pulse. Was always a classic guy but that just didn't give you full control so this is a real gem of a feature.

Re: Is anyone else loving Pulse Pitching?

I loved analog pitching last year and I like to think I was supremely accurate with it, but in the couple practice sessions and 1 game I've played so far I've found it a little more difficult to consistently hit my spots. Based on these positive reviews, I'll definitely put some time in with pulse pitching to see how accurate I can get with it. I did try it for a half inning, but I hung a curveball and walked a batter (which is unacceptable to me), so I went back to pure analog.

For what it's worth, that's far and away the most important thing for me when I'm playing online. If I'm hitting my spots, I'm usually winning (I won a lot of 1-0 and 2-1 games last year)
