At first I thought "this is okay but I prefer analog because I feel like I have more control and can put a little extra heat on a fastball if needed." But then I gave Pulse Pitching a second shot and now it's all I will use. Love it.

Re: Is anyone else loving Pulse Pitching?
I don't like it and here's why.
You wait too long to pitch because you are timing the pulse.
I know what pitch and what location I want to throw next, and then the rhythm of the game gets broken as I am watching an undamped spring oscillate back and forth.
It totally breaks the immersion.Comment

Re: Is anyone else loving Pulse Pitching?
Exactly!
I wanted to post this myself but I forgot.
I wait 3 or 4 pulses, maybe even more, for every pitch. It takes way too long.

Re: Is anyone else loving Pulse Pitching?
The one thing I hate is the rumble on the ball outside the zone. It shakes the pulse and it's hard to concentrate. I don't wanna turn off the vibration because I like it when I hit.Comment

Re: Is anyone else loving Pulse Pitching?
I'm confused how PP breaks the immersion of the game. It actually makes it MORE immersive because it puts player skill, difficulty of game, ratings of pitchers into the game. Anyone can pitch strikeout after strikeout with scrub pitchers using the meter...it's fool proof. With the meter I could play an ENTIRE season without walking ONE batter. NOT ONE.
The PP makes it so it's more realistic. In my first game I walked 3 batters, the next game it was 2, the following game I walked 4.
I think the feature is groundbreaking. You guys just need to get used to it, and practice with it.Comment

Re: Is anyone else loving Pulse Pitching?
I don't like it right now. I get way to frustrated and it almost cramps my hand when I am just sitting there watching the pulse waiting to press it. Maybe I will like it with time but I prefer last year's pure analog as of right now. Also I don't like hitting I prefer pure analog.Comment

Re: Is anyone else loving Pulse Pitching?
It took awhile for me to get use to it, once you have it timed out it become really easy. I count about 3 seconds and it usually is right on.Comment

Re: Is anyone else loving Pulse Pitching?
Besides all that, I didn't feel like I had any control over where the pitch was going and I couldn't get any kind of rhythm going. It felt like I was just guessing on when to push the button.
I may give it another try and seeing how so many people like it, but I think I will be sticking with analog.Comment

And, I'm quite certain if u used Classic, u would not make it through a single game WITHOUT walking a batter unless u want to give up tons of hits.Comment

Re: Is anyone else loving Pulse Pitching?
I'm not lying..
I just got done playing two consecutive games, and as I type this, I feel like I have just been hypnotized. My eyes/brain still see the ring of death, bigger than smaller, bigger than smaller, BIGGER than smaller
But I do indeed like it, because it makes the art of pitching more challenging. Like someone said, I can take any scrub and make him a Cy Young winner with the standard pitching.
I've actually walked more than one batter with PP, and I was happy about that. It actually cost me the game in the top of the 7th, because I walked back to back batters as my pitcher was getting tired, confidence was dropping, and it was moving faster (the PP).
I'm going to stick with it. It doesn't take me no more than 3 seconds to time it the first 6 or so innings. If I use a lot of pitches in those innings, then after that takes a bit more focus.
NOW HITTING, THAT'S CHALLENGING TO ME. I WISH I WAS A STICK JOE DIMAGIO LIKE SOME OF Y'ALL.
I haven't scored ONE run in two games.Comment

Re: Is anyone else loving Pulse Pitching?
i was pitching with Felix on allstar. walked 10 batters and struck out only 2 lmao. still won 4-0.
well i like it, i actually throw balls and walk batters with this, unlike analog (too easy).
im guessing just like anything else, practice and you'll eventually get it.Comment

Re: Is anyone else loving Pulse Pitching?
I like it because after you press X to set the pulse where you want it you can see the pitcher do his wind up and you can also look at the base runners to see if they are stealing. With the meter pitching it was tough to get a good look at the base runners since the pitcher was going through his wind up while you were setting meter.Comment
