We are monitoring and fixing issues in this thread.
Thanks for your patience.
The upgrade is complete, but you've probably noticed the forums are only showing posts up to about April 8. Posts made after that are still in the process of being moved over, and that should take another week or two. Feel free to start a new thread.
The site might feel a little slow while work continues. Engineers are staying on it through the night to get things moving faster again. Thanks for your patience.
I put in the 1.16 patch this morning, saw all the negative comments and deleted it. Does anyone know how I can get the 1.06 patch back? Where can I download it? Thanks
I'm not sure what you are getting at here.
Are you saying that they purposely are throwing glitches in?
Are you saying they aren't trying to fix things?
Don't give a crap?
I'm sorry, but I just don't get how trying to patch a game in which may indeed be causing problems diminishes SCEA's high reputation.
You're losing me on that one.
You guys do realize that we are throwing THOUSANDS of different variations of saves at this patch...and for SCEA to test that is IMPOSSIBLE.

First off I just want to thank you for all of your work on the rosters.
Where in that did I imply that they were purposely putting glitches in the game? I'm just saying that we shouldn't have to restart our franchise or RTTS every time they patch the game.
NHL: Chicago Blackhawks NFL: Kansas City Chiefs MLB: Kansas City Royals NCAA: Kansas Jayhawks
I agree that it is impossible for them to address all of the possible outcomes when it comes to testing pre-patch. However, given that the last patch was primarily directed at specific issues that we are seeing happen in a frequent manner after THIS patch, it is something that could've been spotted in testing.
In order to fix the issues solved from the 1.06 patch, they had to test / fix certain things in order to stop the freezes / schedule glitches and such. This patch is showing a very similar / in some cases the SAME freezes that we a lot of people saw pre 1.06 patch (I was not one of these people luckily).
From that statement we can assume that similar testing methods would / should have been used to make sure there were no compatibility issues (given they had had such a widespread freezing issue in the previous patch). I cannot believe they did any sort of testing in that regards given how rampant this issue has been for so many people this quick.
Again, **** happens, but we def need an announcement / communication from the devs ASAP or this game will be heading into the "why couldn't you leave my game alone" pile along with NCAA 12.
It seems that the first patch, the one out of the box created a second set of issues. Then 1.06 created more issues, and now 1.16 has created even more issues and the only one issue that I see that has been fully resolved is the weekday 7:00PM game times.
I could have lived with that glitch.
I think this is a fair thing to say...
Do we have a single person who had freezes post 1.06, continued their franchise, downloaded this patch, and now has no problems?
I'm still on my same franchise file, and although I could make it freeze if I wanted to, I've been able to continue playing with minimal problems. I really don't want to have to start over. I'll finish the year patchless if I have to, but I'm curious if other people in my situation have tried to do stuff?
Not to mention that if I plan on playing without this patch I will obviously have to disconnect my PS3 from the internet, since it's already asked me 3 times and I've only been playing for about 10 minutes.

Come on man. SCEA is in the wrong here and it can't be argued. Someone's JOB in that company is to test the patch...How in the world does that person miss the fact that a team with over 100 losses makes the playoffs? How do they miss the fact that this new patch is causing RTTS to freeze? How do they not catch these things when it is their JOB??? Also there has yet to be any announcement on this issue. It's laziness on their part and we have a right to sound off on them. This is inexcusable.
Having said all that I'm not going off on you personally Knight. I along with everyone who visits this site appreciate the hard work that you put into the rosters each year. You make the game what it is for many of us. I'm just trying to say that 2 patches in less than 3 weeks that both broke the game further cannot be excused.

I am not sure anyone that's worked or knows anything about what goes in to software development could claim "laziness" as a reason why issues like these get in to release.
There are obviously some issues here, but laziness is certainly not one of them.

I'm sure when we all signed the EULA that it says somewhere in there that SCEA can pretty much do whatever they want with their own game, poor patch or not. Sure it might not sit well for some people but you should be thankful if they do end up fixing this quickly instead of letting it sit and brew for a while... which they can completely do. So give it about 24 or 48 hours and see what they do, just never venture around the WoW forums on patch day, you'll hate yourself ha ha.

so true lol. I remember freshman year trying to get simple programming homework done and feeling like it would be easier to solve time travel and the existence of God.
I'd say the better description here would be them bandaging a big wound (the vanilla - 1.06 patch freezing issues) and we are now seeing the repercussions of them not doing proper stitch work.

Well me being the random and free-spirited person I am, I got tired of the game asking me to download the patch, so instead of disconnecting my PS3 I just... downloaded the patch.
Before this current patch, I was a part of the group that continued their old franchise despite prevalent, but avoidable, freezing issues.
I just checked every single team's schedule, for both april and may, checked certain box scores that previously caused my game to freeze, and started a game. I even checked a bunch of other random box scores, notably a few from those weeks in april that caused most of the fuss.

Agreed on that assessment. I still haven't dl'd 1.16
My franchise was started post 1.06, so I am pretty sure I am in the clear, but wary of pulling the trigger.
Its not laziness imo its more like a lack of competence to put out a patch that doesnt break the game. Still no word on fixing crossplay...smh...getting tired of waiting on SCEA to get their act together.

All I know is that since installing the new patch....my RTTS pitcher has suddenly lost the ability to spot his change up. No matter where I aim it goes in one of two places....a foot off the plate or right down the middle....really frustrating.
In fact....most of my pitches seem to be going in random directions.....ugh

Sounds like some patch frustration carrying over into your gameplay :-p

Of course I'm only one guy, and we have a plethora of tangents and variables to consider here.
But like I said, I have no freezing. My pre-1.06 franchise file was EXACTLY like such a franchise file that would be created (or saved), by the patch-less Playstation Vita. The only question is whether or not this patch is designed to safely regress back to the Vita
For those of you who are downloading this patch anyway... Just try it. You can transfer to the cloud, load it on your Vita, and mess around with stuff, then transfer back. Just don't save over your original, native, franchise file. I think it will work, but if it doesn't, you can just delete all your cloud stuff and you'll be in the same position you are in right now.
It literally doesn't hurt to try. Just remember once you download the patch, there's no going back.
