    Cover Next Year

    Just was thinking who will be on the cover next year, hopefully its a pitcher, because there hasnt been one in a while.

    I think Matt Kemp would be first choice though.

                      It still baffles me that Verlander wasn't on the cover of 2012.... He threw a no hitter and won 24 games.... He won MVP... as a pitcher. He deserves to be on the cover more than anyone as he has consistently been one of the top 5 pitchers in the league.

                              No question he was deserving, but two competing games having the same cover athlete would be quite the conflict.

                                                      But he's sober now. Excepting the odd relapse, he keeps his name clean. Unless he has a) a massive bender and/or b) a positive PED test between now and October, and with the year he's putting up, I don't see how he's not the front runner.

                                                          he had a relapse like 4 months ago, and it was a big deal to him and the organization. i agree that because of the off the field stuff he won't get it.
