"Let's be honest the sidelines in our favorite football games have been the same, eyesore, they have been for quite some time now with little improvement. I want to see actual players on my team on the sidelines. I want to see them react to players charging out of bounds near them. Better collision with chain gang, coaches, refs, and the environment."

While this is needed, I would rather them work on that little by little each year and focus on other things needed. However, if they could implement it in one year while focusing on bigger things, I say more the better.

Did I ever say the player animations or on the field models didn't need any work? Why does everyone have to look at it like if they fix one thing they won't fix anything else?

JP, people are always going to focus on the main part of games and say that needs fixed first, giving EA's track record of saying "they ran out of time", can you blame anyone?

I am on EA's side this year and love what they are doing, but coming from other perspectives, you can see why they do that.

That's EA's M.O. Look at all of the features that got left out this year. If they fix the sideline players, they may not have time to put refs in the proper position of the field, or address line play, or address ice skating players. You'll see, once this gets fixed, four other things will be gone.

But yeah, I've been saying this for about 7 years now and when I saw my receiver go out of bounds, and trip over a player that was kneeling on the sideline in APF....

Didn't Ian once say that they would have to sacrifice on the field graphics to make sideline graphics better? Then again he also said it wasn't possible to use physics in Madden so...

I know this is a new team and all, but EA has had a bad track record man, and its like letting a former crackhead in your house alone after being Sober a few days and promising to stay that way. Like anything, it takes time and trust has to be re-gained.

Im excited for madden this year and hopeful about things to come, but they already started off on the wrong note with features missing thats been there already and the same people are gonna turn a blind eye to it as always and have an excuse for that outside of the fact we been saying this is how EA has been with madden for years.

Ok fair enough, now let's analyze those features. Edit players, import draft classes, and fantasy draft were the features left out. One of them didn't even work right(import draft classes) edit players is something I will miss no doubt and fantasy draft isn't realistic and I never really used it, but I know a lot of people did. As long as those features are brought back and improved upon next year and not marketed as new or improved then I won't have a major problem with it, as long as Connected Careers lives up to its billing.

If it doesn't then it doesn't and I will agree with you more, but I'm not giving further praise or criticism towards it until I have some hands on time with it.

i just dont see the importance of updating the sidelines if you cant have them be interactive like apf2k8. im cool with how they do the cuts to a sideline scene that looks good graphically. apf2k8 tho...man, i mean if u ran into the sidelines, guys would move outta the way or grab ur guy to catch and slow him down or you could trip over them....that cant be rivaled. like they said before for madden tho, we're at the limits with what they can do since they chose to maximize the graphics. im of the camp that id rather have the graphics a lil dumbed down and add in more details which would make the game look more real, alive, and official.

Unless the sideline is interactive like.... well, lets not bring that game up.

Basically, if it isn't interactive don't worry about it -- go hard or not at all in my book.

I want to know why NCAA 13 has Cheerleaders on the sides lines in real time and not Madded 13?
