i dont think so, someone talked to spurrier before last season's preseason poll saying something to the effect that he was making a mockery of the preseason poll by voting duke 25th so he didnt last year.

Is that because pre-season polls are always so accurate?

Ughh. I hate seeing USC that high, I believe the Trojans are overrated by a lot. Plenty of big questions, no way my guys are #3.

Well as long as the Huskies win week one, we'll (kinda weird saying that) be ranked. Currently sitting 2 votes behind Auburn for #25. I'll take one week of being ranked with that start at least. I'm sure LSU wouldn't mind another ranked team added to their schedule (until the upset happens*). I'm interested in seeing if Stanford will actually still be that highly ranked by the time we play them. Luck is a huge loss.

Starting #9, considering where we finished last year is about right. The month of October will decide the season.

West Virginia is way overrated in my opinion. They beat a self destructing Clemson team in the Orange Bowl. This is a team that barely won the Big East last year and got drilled by Syracuse. I think they'll struggle in the Big 12.

Florida State is once again overrated. They have a lot of talent but haven't showed that they can put it together.

I actually think West Virginia may be just a little bit under rated, but not by much. This poll doesn't carry much value for me, anyways.

There's too much CFB ahead of us. I won't waste my time getting too caught up in it.

I don't really know how good WVU will be. It's hard to say.

The 70-33 beatdown of Clemson was impressive.

The 49-23 drubbing by Syracuse was not.

In its last three games of the regular season, WVU beat:

@ Cincinnati (10-3) - W 24-21
Pittsburgh (6-7) - W 21-20
@ South Florida (5-7) - W 30-27 (game-winning FG)

I think WVU should put up plenty of yards in the Big 12. That's something they didn't have much trouble doing last year, even against LSU.

But it doesn't really matter how many yards you gain if your opponent scores 50 and therein lies the potential problem. The defense is young, using a new scheme (switching from the 3-3-5 to the 3-4), and changing coordinators.

It will be an interesting year.

I think many teams would be happy to have the SEC be in it's own category. Who wants to play Ole Miss or Mississippi State?

I'd love to get some SEC teams on the schedule. There were rumors at one time of an LSU/USC home and home, but they turned out to be just that.

Yeah same here. I think OSU plays Georgia sometime in the future.
