We were sold a product and we'd like to use it the way we were told we could.

Imagine buying a car and being told after that they'll add the A/C knob later. It's only gonna be so long driving around hot that you give up. Yeah, it's usable but c'mon.

This is why I usually trade Madden in a quarter into the NFL season. Broken at release, patches promised, takes forever, loss of interest, trade in...

It's genious, though. They get the money and we get an unfinished product that we won't get a full return on when we trade it in.

So, yeah, people are frustrated.

iam calm lol sorry bout that lol i just want the patch cus we cant edit players. it seems sony can only edit for now the new 53 man roster is the closet we will get i really dont care about cutting players due to the fact u cant edit there positions but as long as the patch drops out today at some point for the ps3 ill be okay

I believe Sony runs on PST (Pacific) so expect the patch around 3PM EST (Eastern). Just experience from previous patch schedules.

I don't have FIFA or NHL, but the bold is the key to all the other games I have. NBA2K, even MLB2K or any other game I have doesn't come out with nearly the number of issues Madden does. Just because other games come out with some issues, doesn't excuse the way Madden is released.

I'm going to have to disagree with you on this one. Centers not playing the post and tossing up threes non stop and player roles being so incorrectly implemented they had to be turned off to play an association were major out of the box issues for NBA. MLB is just an all around poor game but the injury management and framerate issues were also major problem at launch. Unfortunately that's just where we are ay in today's annual release cycle. We have to deal with the double edge sword of patches, games ship with more issued but at least developers have the ability to fix them. This to me is where ea is light years behind. 2K does a great job of listening to fans and fixing issues and does an especially good job of fixing big issues quickly. Ea has a track record of fixing non importantow hanging fruit and never getting to the impactful issues along with occasionally breaking working items in the process.

alrighty will do thanks brother.. i appriciate it. to be honest this is the first time i have done online so i didnt know what to expect i thought it was once i woke up i would have the patch cus the first patch on my ps3 was saturday morning around like 10am (im in cali) so im on westcoast time i didnt mean to seem pissed was just anticipating it this morning

A buddy of mine just told me that his schemes are now saving in offline ccm. Can anyone here confirm this or is he just yanking my chain?

Yep they save for me now. That is the only difference I have noticed.

What about injuries resetting and the xp balance between online/offline? Anyone been able to confirm those as fixed?

Is there any way somebody who has downloaded the update (I guess on XBOX) can tell us if there are any differences, and if so, what they are? I'm just curious about what is included in this update.

As for what people are talking about, I hated this Madden out of the box. But then I started playing it, and the more I play CCM the more I like it. I love what they are doing, and I can't wait to see the mode once the bugs are worked out. I like the idea of giving us something new after 10 years instead of just updating what they had, which would have been far safer and easier.

No just a field goal....and it ended ...sucked to cuz it was a great game the CPU was running well and not trampling all over each other but oh well

Software is hardly comparable to purchasing a car anymore than its comparable to eating a bowl of soup. Its unique in that in that if it has problems, and almost inevitably will, they can be fixed. These fixes take time, yes. But be glad they exist at all. Before the current gen youd just be stuck with what came out of the box with console games. Just take a deep breath, avoid the negativity of this board and enjoy your product as is until more fixes come, or dont. But people coming on here to have one conniption fit after another every single day doesnt accomplish anything and lowers the overall experience for everyone. It would be nice to come here and not feeling like im dealing with a romper room class of children. No offense.

was it the first possession that the field goal was scored on? because the ONLY time a field goal doesn't end the overtime is if it is scored on the FIRST possession. a fumbled kickoff counts as a possession for the receiving team too....

Then it was designed and implemented very poorly. The story lines should have been dynamic (parametrized) so that changing players attributes would not break the story line.



Then I would rather have them keep Franchise and CCM until CCM is ready to completely replace franchise.



Yes they did take these things out. Were they in last years game? and previous years? Are they in this years game? They have been removed from last year to this year. Those features that were in the game last year are missing from this years game. Saying they were not taken out is just a semantics game.

Connected Careers is not Franchise Mode, so those features were not taken out, they were simply not added into the code that was written for Connected Careers. Bottom line is that online play was the focus this year, offline was the focus last year, clearly. The main reason they went ahead and made CCM was to be able to work on both on and offline in the same year, as well as superstar(which is ccm as a player). I know it's frustrating for many this year, but in the end, the decision to go to CCM will be better for everyone.

does the new patch allow the refs to make calls? i havent seen any penatly calls at all except offsides once in a while? what are the pros of the patch?
